The Sandia Peak Tramway, or Tram is the third longest aerial tramway in the world. Each cable car can carry up to 50 passengers, or 10,000 lbs of cargo up the 2.7 miles to the top. From the 10,378 high summit there is a spectacular view of the Rio Grande Valley.
The Tram has carried nearly 9 million passengers in its 43 years of existence. On the way up, visitors can enjoy the ridged rock faces, deep canyons and high cliffs, old rugged oaks, pine trees, and aspen. Commonly seen wildlife in... MORE AT

Company offers unique ride to Balloon Fiesta glows
we first told you about the a-b-q trolley co earlier this year. it's a new business created by two albuquerque locals giving trolley tours around the city. despite the slow economy -- the business has taken off and balloon fiesta is bringing in even more business. you might have se it rolling through the streets of albuquerque. this distinctly unique trolley has been in business since may giving tours that cover albuquerque's history and culture for out of towners. beautiful building, one of the most beloved buildings in our entire city. co-owners jesse herron and michael silva started up the business during what seemed to be the worst of the economic slump this year. 5 months later business is better than the two could have hoped for -- absolutely, absolutley this was a treat and we hesitated because of the weather today but it was well worth it, it was wonderful. and balloon fiesta offered a new opportunity. they've had problems over the years with getting people from downtown hotels out to balloon fiesta park so we cooperatively worked with them to offer a service providing pickup at the albuquerque convention center out to balloon fiesta park. saturday on the abq trolley glow is already sold out -- the 40 dollar roundtrip includes transportation to the balloon glows from the albuquerque convention center with a guided tour, admission to the fiesta and to the chasers club -- a private tent with hot food at the balloon park. herron says it's a great way to end trolley season it's a great timing to close out the season on a huge note with tons of people on board. herron says sunday is pretty much booked but you can still buy a seat for the three other balloon glow nights. for more information just head to our website at kob.com and click on four links. back to you. and for all your balloon fiesta coverage -- be sure to keep it on eyewitness news four. saturday and sunday, tune in from five to seven a-m for live traffic and weather updates on eyewitness news four today. then stay with us from 7am to nine -- for our live coverage of the mass ascensions.

ABQ NY DC lumped into one video. All unique and interesting in their own way. We had a great time in Albuquerque and would go back there, even though it's not really somewhere you would usually consider for a holiday! We do love Breaking Bad, and went on the ABQ Trolley Co's Bad Tour, which was great, filled with so many interesting stories.
New York was strange. It's one of those places you build up expectations on so it's a bit wierd when you actually go there. We would go back at Christmas time, but not in a hurry.
Washington DC is a lovely place and I'd happily go back there but I feel we've done everything. I think everyone should visit once.
Places featured on this video: Top of the Rock, National Mall, ABQ Biodome, 9/11 Memorial, National Art Gallery, Breaking Bad Car Wash, ABQ Trolley, White House, Lincoln Memorial, Times Square, ABQ Zoo, Empire State Building, National History Museum New York, Old Town ABQ, Tuco's hideout, FAO Toy Store, Los Pollos Hermanos, National Air and Space Museum

This video was shot on a GoPro Hero 4 Silver (full 1080p and 60fps) in May and June 2015 and edited in Adobe Premier Pro. I recently purchased a new laptop to edit with as my previous one was too laggy to play such high quality videos so the laptop I used to edit with was an Asus X555L upgraded to 8GB Memory.
ABQ restaurant provides down home feel and political scene
If you've ever stopped by the Barela's Coffee House, you never know who might walk through the door. From family, friends and familiar faces to even president of the United States, the restaurant has established itself as a down home spot for food and keeping the political crowd in touch with citizens.
