AC Dreamin' -- a new, nightly outdoor show for visitors of all ages on the famed Atlantic City Boardwalk, is the fourth show created by Moment Factory, a Montreal-based new media studio.
AC Dreamin' invites visitors to navigate six different magical worlds: a mysterious train station, a luxurious hotel, a crazy theme park, a surreal lighthouse, a dreamy underwater world, and the fantastic Boardwalk at night. Viewers follow a magical dream shared by two friends in a modern fairy tale.
For the first time in the Boardwalk Hall project, Moment Factory used live-action footage with actors performing in a narrative linking the show to the spirit of the city. Thanks to the show's 3D mapping and innovative storytelling, tourists and residents will experience some of Atlantic City's iconic public spaces in a completely new way.
AC Dreamin' joins sister shows Boardwalk Beat, Duality and Winter Sweet as part of Moment Factory's only permanent, year-round installation in the United States. Each show and the technology behind them are uniquely designed for Boardwalk Hall. An estimated 212,500 visitors have seen the light shows since the debut in summer 2012.
AC Dreamin' debuts to the public on Thursday, August 29 and runs every half hour nightly.
The show is free to the public.
Boardwalk Hall is located at 2301 Boardwalk at the center of the world-famous AC Boardwalk between Georgia and Mississippi Avenues at Kennedy Plaza.

The Water Show that one entertained thousands of customers who came to visit the former Shops at the Pier (now Playground) in Atlantic CIty, NJ, has been destroyed and removed from the mall. All that remains now is the water spouts within the ceiling, and the oprah-house-like auditorium seating, which will be saved and converted to some stupid, insignificant project known as 39 N, yet another concert venue that is not needed by Atlantic City.
The Water Show was a 360-degree multi-sensory experience with a dazzling array of stunning water effects, state-of-the-art lighting and sound, and revolutionary technology, including a computerized matrix of 149 independently controlled fountain nozzles.
In addition to hourly pre-programmed shows, the fountain reacts to the arriving audience with lights, water plumes, music, and sound effects, using multiple imaging and sensing technologies to engage them in a series of group interactive games that build anticipation and word-of-mouth for each hourly show.
The show was added to the mall when it reopened as The Shops at the Pier back in 2006; the show alone ran the developer US $7 million from the Thinkwell Group who custom designed and built it for the developer.
