Towards the end of 2009, the studio came under threat of sale to property developers. However, the British Government protected the site, granting it English Heritage Grade II listed status in 2010, thereby preventing the building from any major alterations

CaptainJim (Follow The Line) [Mastered at Abbey Road Studios, London, England]
Toledo firefighter Captain James Fraser ('Captain Jim'), also a Civil War veteran and former Great Lakes sailor, died in the horrific January 3, 1894, King-Quale grain elevator fire that, at the time, was considered the worst in Toledo's history. Driven westward by a gale-force winter wind, the fire quickly consumed scores of buildings as it marched relentlessly toward the heart of Toledo's downtown business district. Later that night, after firefighters had given up all hope of stopping the fiery onslaught and saving Toledo's downtown, a miraculous 180-degree wind shift occurred that allowed the weary firefighters to finally gain control.
Captain Jim and his partner Alfred Blaine had just entered a 3rd floor room in the burning King grain elevator when an explosion slammed both of them to the floor. Severely injured, Blaine watched helplessly as a dazed Captain Jim turned and walked into the dark smoke and chaos, never to be seen again.
Despite his injuries, Blaine survived and was later able to tell the tragic story of Captain Jim's last earthly moments, including Captain Jim's last words.
For many days after the fire, in a freezing winter rain, Captain Jim's grieving fellow firefighters sifted through still-steaming ashes and debris in search of his remains. They never found a trace of Captain Jim - only a partially melted brass fire-hose nozzle and melted brass suspender buckles. More than 120 years later, unbeknownst to passers-by, his remains still lie beneath the concrete and sod of Promenade Park, along Toledo's riverfront.
This long-forgotten story has been brought back to life by The ShackTones in the original song, Captain Jim (Follow The Line), recorded at JSR Studios in Columbus, Ohio, and mastered at legendary Abbey Road Studio, London, England. The 2-song CD/EP, which includes a full-color 8-page booklet telling the full story of this tragic moment in history, is available at CDBaby, Amazon, iTunes and many other online retailers.
An Ohio Historical Marker will soon be placed in Toledo's Promenade Park to tell park visitors about Captain Jim and the 1894 King-Quale fire, a reminder of how close Toledo once came to total destruction.
May Captain Jim rest in peace.
We hope he found the line.
We hope he found his way.

Crossing Abbey Road (Beatles Location), London (Westminster), England -
Getting some pictures, and walking across the famous Abbey Road where the Beatles did back in 1969. You are basically on your own to get a good picture since it is still an active intersection. The cars and motorists are usually patient and let you try and get a picture. The Thumbnail is a picture taken of the 4 of us trying to do the Beatles Pose.
