low tide redfish Isle of Palms, SC Fish Call Charters
The redfish were feeding really good around low tide today, tailing, rolling, pushing wakes, busting shrimp - fun fun stuff! John and Keith worked the tight razor-blade gauntlet just fine losing only 1 fish out of 14. Capt. J.R. Waits Fish Call Charters fishcall.com Isle of Palms, SC
Live Horseshoecrab at Isle of Palms, SC
A local mother from Minnesota was digging around in a tide pool and she thought she was digging up a seashell. She was actually looking at a horseshoe crab. We got a shovel and I dug up the horseshoe crab from the sand and then we attracted a crowd of about 15 or so people.
Our Barrier Island Eco Tour Adventure!
An excursion to Capers Island (near Charleston, SC)...filled with adventure and getting close up and personal with wildlife in their natural habitat, was great fun! Watching the dolphins play alongside the boat was quite an experience! After a guided tour through the winding tidal creeks and gorgeous salt marshes, we were dropped off at Capers Island to find our own way and explore the island! Along the way are discoveries waiting, unbelievable views, wildlife, and much more!
We are Blessed to live in the Lowcountry...so much beauty all around us! Our friend was visiting us from the UK....and this adventure was one of the highlights! This was so much fun...exploring natural environment and habitat.... and learning so much too! There is so much to see and do...can't wait to do it again! Our many thanks to Shane and Morgan (Barrier Island Eco Tours) for this great experience...and can't leave out Emma, who is the best dolphin spotter I have ever seen!
