Welcome to North Captiva
North Captiva Florida is a peaceful and private island with long stretches of secluded beaches is accessed only by boat or small plane into a private airstrip. North Captiva is approximately 4 miles long and ½ mile wide at its widest. A little more than half of North Captiva is owned by the state of Florida and is managed as a preserve. There are about 350 homes on North Captiva island and of those approximately 115 are available for rent. Three restaurants which serve everything from hot dogs to wonderful gourmet cuisine. Come watch the spectacular sunrises and sunsets. On our secluded beaches you can shell, swim, fish, or just watch the manatees and dolphins at play or the antics of the fabulous water birds. The lush vegetation invites you to bicycle, walk or golf car ride along the trails. One can rent kayaks, power boats and other water toys.

Kayaking | Lover's Key State Park (FL) [2019]
Kayakers from near and far agree that kayaking the estuary in Lovers Key is the best place for a paddle in all of Florida. The mangrove protected estuary is 2 and a half miles of winding waterway trails with manatees, dolphins, alligators, osprey, Eagles, and much much more. Lovers Key is the perfect waterway for novice paddlers and experts. Whether you are looking for a quiet romantic paddle or an adventure, Lovers Key will not disappoint.
Lovers Key Adventures has over 50 kayaks in its fleet to accommodate even the biggest family or group. Our single and tandem sit on top ocean kayaks are very steady and safe.
Even beginners will feel comfortable and at ease very quickly when they push off into the water and float with the smooth currents of the estuary.

Everglades Area Tours
Everglades Area Tours welcomes you to the very edge of the Florida's Last Frontier. The splendid natural world of Everglades National Park and the 10,000 Islands opens to our guests with a variety of Guided Eco Adventures.
Sea kayak the Everglades; canoe through magnificent mangrove tunnels; enjoy a guided birding & wildlife photo boat tour in the 10,000 Islands; experience kayak fishing in the Everglades National Park backcountry; enjoy a guided walking tour amongst old-growth cypress hammocks, prairies, wetlands and sloughs in search of rare orchid; catch tarpon, redfish and snook on a guided fishing trip; take a private birding or photography tour; rent a sea kayak, canoe or fishing kayak for the day; or hang out with us at JT's on Chokoloskee Island three miles south of Everglades City.
With two locations, we are located Marco Island and Everglades City (Chokoloskee). Located just 10 minutes from the beaches of Marco Island; 35 minutes from Naples, one and a half hours from Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Ft. Myers & two hours from West Palm Beach, we are a great destination for a day trip. Combine tours in a single day or over several days to enjoy the small town ambience of our waterside community. Be it on foot, bicycle, kayak, canoe, power boat, and/or airplane, you will enjoy a complete experience with Everglades Area Tours.
Our most popular eco-adventure, the Boat Assisted Kayak ECO Tour combines the best of a boat tour, a kayak tour and a walking tour in a single great experience. The tour begins in a very comfortable transport boat that brings you into the Park's core and very near to the wildlife. We then slow down the tour using stable, very comfortable kayaks to get you close to the wildlife. They are silent and unobtrusive for the wildlife and allow you to get closer than by any other means. Finally, we explore the tidal zone of a remote island beach. A beach few can ever get to. Expect to see some magnificent shells here! Imagine paddling next to manatees and dolphins. No previous paddling experience is required, we do not paddle far and we have single as well as two-person kayaks. This tour truly is one of the best ways to experience Everglades National Park.

SANIBEL ISLAND BIKE TRAIL-FLORIDA-EP04
Biking on Sanibel Island is a special treat when compared to almost any other trail you will find in FL. Sue and her friend Carrie decided to go Kayaking on this day, leaving me on my own. I have never went Kayaking with Sue because I am a physical wreck compared to her., so using Carrie as my stand-in was a godsend. Since we drove to Sanibel Island together, but with separate things to do, we came up with the notion to record HER day, and also record MY day, .......and play them for you to see the ying & yang of our relationship. Mine was fortunately recorded on an Iphone,......Sues's was unfortunately recorded on a camera we literally found laying in a parking lot. We have thrown out this camera, but her EP03 day is forever frozen in this poorer quality footage. We have much better equipment now.
