Hey Dads,
Are you think of going to the Alexandria Zoo in Alexandria LA? We are here in November, and it's a beautiful day. We had a great time at this zoo because the zoo is so intimate and you can get really close to a lot of the animals at this zoological park.
My favorite exhibit was the African Lion exhibit because they had a faux african hut with a huge piece of class splitting the hut in two and you can get really close to the lions at this exhibit.
We decided to take the train around the zoo, and for $2 per person is was just okay. I was really disappointed that you couldn't see many of the animals and the conductor didn't talk to you about the animals. It was very lackluster and I feel that they mainly get use out of it during the Christmas season when they have all of the Christmas lights on since there were a bunch of those setup along the train's route.
Everything else at the park was really nicely themed, and the animals looked like they had some really nice habitats. They also had some really interesting animals that I didn't expect to see at this zoo.

Holiday Light Safari- Alexandria Zoo- Alexandria, LA- December 15, 2017

Every year, the Alexandria Zoo in Alexandria, Louisiana has a special event for the holiday season. It is called “ Holiday Light Safari “. There are special hours for this event 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm. You can take a stroll through the Zoo at night, to see the spectacular lights. Santa is waiting in the Festival Plaza. The kids can take pics with Santa and talk to him. You can take a ride on the holiday train, to see the lights and on the train route, there are more lights that you cannot see on the walking trail. If you are lucky, you may get to see some animals. Most of the animals will be sleeping or trying to stay warm.
