Faro Airport / Aeroporto Internacional de Faro, also known as Algarve Airport, is located 4 km (2.5 mi) to the west of Faro in Portugal. The airport opened in July 1965. A total of 6.4 million passengers used Faro airport in 2015. To read more about Faro Airport, click here: .

This film features views of aircraft approaching and landing at Faro Airport, filmed from around Faro Marina, as well as zoomed shots of aircraft taking off from Faro Airport. The film also features footage of the airport apron taken from the terminal building, and also a bus, which is en-route to a parked aircraft.
The majority of aircraft featured in the film are Boeing 737 and Airbus A319, A320 and A321 variants from short-haul European airports. Airlines featured within the film include Ryanair, Monarch, Thomson, Transavia, Jet2, Aer Lingus, TAP Portugal, and EasyJet.

Isabel and Imogen set out in the early hours on a wet and dark November morning and travel from Cardiff Airport to Faro Airport and on to their destination; The Eden resort in Albufeira, where they will be having a week's holiday.

I'm Imo and she's Izzy. We love getting out and about and exploring South Wales and beyond.

For to an audience made up of thousands of family and friends who, on May 12, 2019 in the afternoon, on the lawn of S. Luís, the Bishop of Algarve carried out another blessing of the folders.
For the finalists who filled the pitch, it was a moment of celebration of another stage completed. The council, by the voice of Vice President Paulo Santos, thanked the choice of Faro and the University of Algarve to train as human beings and professionals, leaving still the desire to see them continue their life in our county. A “Mais Algarve”, accompanied the parade and then the ceremony of blessing of the folders (vulgo, burning of the tapes), bringing you now another look about this year's edition.

MamaMaratona´18 | Portimão
A Associação Oncológica do Algarve organizou, uma vez mais este Ano, a sua 18ª edição da MAMAMARATONA (MM 18), destacando-se já como o maior evento social a sul do Tejo.
O acontecimento decorreu no Domingo 7 de Outubro, da parte da manhã na Zona Ribeirinha de Portimão, no Barlavento Algarvio, num dia espetacular de Sol e com uma grande afluência de atletas e curiosos, tanto Portugueses como estrangeiros.
Esta iniciativa englobou como habitual uma Marcha e/ou Corrida de 6Kms, que este ano fez parte do circuito Portugal a Correr Portimão (que contemplou também as provas de Mini-Maratona na distância de 10 kms e Meia-Maratona com 21 kms ) numa organização em parceira com a empresa Global Sport (GS) e com a Câmara Municipal de Portimão (CMP).
Além disso, conforme em anos anteriores, a Mamamaratona integrou o Calendário Regional de Marcha e Corrida do Algarve, do Instituto Português de Desporto e Juventude (IPDJ), o que permitiu a participação gratuita dos participantes, sem restrição de idades.
A MM 18 têm como principal objetivo lutar contra o cancro, em particular da mama (por se enquadrar no movimento internacional Outubro Rosa, de alerta para a prevenção do cancro da mama), sensibilizar para a prática de um estilo de vida saudável e para a prática de exercício físico, como formas de prevenção do cancro.
Sendo este um evento solidário, ao organizar a Mamamaratona, a Associação Oncológica do Algarve pretendeu ainda angariar fundos para a sua obra em prol do doente oncológico e familiares.
Os interessados tiveram à sua disposição vários meios de chegarem a Portimão, nomeadamente o apoio da CP – Comboios de Portugal, com desconto de 50% no bilhete de ida e volta e deslocação num autocarro da Transol, com preços especiais, ligando a Fuseta e Faro a Portimão.
A Mais Algarve, como Media partner do evento, deslocou uma vasta equipa a Portimão e recolheu imagens desta edição da Mamamaratona 2018, destacando algumas daquelas que nos marcaram e que retratam um pouco o espirito e ambiente que se viveu em Portimão.

The Algarve Oncological Association has once again organized this year its 18th edition of MAMAMARATONA (MM 18), which stands out as the largest social event in the south of the Tagus.
The event took place on Sunday 7 October, in the morning in the Portimão Waterfront, in the Algarve's Barlavento, on a spectacular day of Sol and with a large influx of athletes and curious people, both Portuguese and foreigners.
This initiative encompassed as usual a March and / or Race of 6Kms, which this year was part of the circuit Portugal a Correr Portimão (which also included the Mini-Marathon events in the distance of 10 km and Half-Marathon with 21 km) in an organization in partnership with the company Global Sport (GS) and with the City Council of Portimão (CMP).
In addition, as in previous years, Mamamaratona was part of the Algarve Regional March and Race Calendar, of the Portuguese Institute of Sports and Youth (IPDJ), which allowed free participation of participants, without age restriction.
MM 18 has as its main objective to fight against cancer, in particular breast cancer (because it falls under the international movement October Rosa, alert for the prevention of breast cancer), raise awareness of the practice of a healthy lifestyle and for the practice of physical exercise, as forms of cancer prevention.
This being a solidarity event, in organizing Mamamaratona, the Oncological Association of the Algarve also sought to raise funds for its work in support of cancer patients and family members.
The interested parties had at their disposal several means of arriving in Portimão, namely the support of CP - Comboios de Portugal, with a 50% discount on the return ticket and a transfer on a Transol bus, with special prices, calling Fuseta and Faro to Portimão.
“Mais Algarve, as Media partner of the event, moved a large team to Portimão and collected images of this edition of Mamamaratona 2018, highlighting some of those that have marked us and that portray a little the spirit and environment that lived in Portimão.
