10 Facts Movie Theaters Don't Want You to Know
We all love movie theaters for the special feeling they give with fantastic special effects, complete sound immersion and the taste of popcorn. Would you still love them just as much if you found out their secrets movie theater owners don’t want you to know? We’re going to unveil 10 movie theater secrets.
In cinemas, many people can’t always keep their feelings to themselves and that’s normal. For example, a movie about cannibals called Raw appeared to be too hard to watch for a couple of visitors at The Toronto International Film Festival in 2016. The people fainted and one of them hit his head badly during the fall.
Digital devices can do everything on their own, and there are more automatic processes at a cinema than there were during the previous century.
Keep it in mind that in case there are some problems with a projector (the image is blurred, not centered, etc.), you’ll have to stand up and go notify a staff member in the lobby.
20% of the population, including Johnny Depp himself, simply can’t perceive those three dimensions. Harvard Medical School neurobiology professor Dr. Margaret S. Livingstone explains it could be due to stereo-blindness when eyes can’t see in 3D because of the way they are aligned.
If you love cleanliness that much, try to visit the cinema in the morning and avoid going there on Friday and Saturday nights when a lot of other people go out to the movies.

Montgomery G&P! Traction Elevator-Ordway Building-Monterey, CA
I haven't ridden this one in two years, and I'm glad it's still original! This is one of the three G&P elevators that I've ridden. The first floor call station hasn't been fixed, and I'm prompted to just come here with a screwdriver next time and flip it over. Such an easy fix, but people are too lazy to fix it lol. Listen the the motor and relays on this elevator! They're super loud on the top floor. This building was closed during my visit, however a security guard let me in after I told him about my hobby. Security was patrolling the building as well. Enjoy the video of this epic elevator!

Dover Oildraulic Elevator at the Old Sash Mill Building 42 in Santa Cruz, CA Retake 4
This elevator is very special to me. Why? This is the first elevator I ever uploaded to YouTube! Not the first elevator I have filmed. I filmed my first elevator video at Gottshalks in Watsonville, CA on the same day I filmed a video of this elevator, but I uploaded the video of this elevator first. That is now a vacant building. I got lucky, as I got here in the time that the doors might be locked, and some of the doors were locked. This elevator might not be running as well as before. The chime is almost gone. The chime has been dying for years, and now it is almost completely dead. This elevator was installed around 1996.
