Amsterdam is breathtaking from the canals that's why my cousin and I rented a canal boat so we could have our own private tour. We rented the canal boat from canalmotorboats.com conveniently located west of Amsterdam Central Station and rents for 40 euros per hour but make sure to reserve a few days ahead.
Amsterdam has 2 major nightlife districts called Rembrandtplein and Leidseplein these squares are loaded with bars and night clubs. Depending on where you start, I recommend you get a delicious negroni from NJOY cocktail bar but beware, they have a strict door policy so do not show up too trashed or under dressed.
At Rembrantplein you'll find many great spots like Escape night club, Jantjesverjaardag (a popular student bar), techno club Air Amsterdam, and my favorite Club NYX for their bizarre toilet bar on the top floor where you literally can take a piss behind the DJ in a urinal on the dance floor.
If you're not into night clubs than Amsterdam has a magnitude of bars and cafes, it is what Amsterdam is best known for. Dig deep into local Dutch cafe culture in the Jordaan district at cozy places Cafe Thijsen, Gevulde Gaper, Staalmeesters and De Zotte.
For party bars and dive bars check out No. 129, Cafe Kooper, Kopstootbar and end your night either at the Water Hole for rock music and live bands or club hard at the massive Paradiso dance floor or consider Chicago Social club for a more laid back hipster kind of vibe.
In conclusion, the Amsterdam nightlife is one of world's best. The fact that bars and clubs are open late, no last call, great selection of music & venues plus a chill laid back local crowd that makes Amsterdam the absolute party capital of Europe, without a doubt. Ibiza eat your heart out! Also, make sure to watch my Amsterdam travel guide for day time activities.

Amsterdam Food - Making Sushi with Amsterdam locals
The Amsterdam Food scene is varied and has influences from all over the word. Learning to make sushi can be challenging, but also fun, especially when the workshop is given by a local resident in your own city. WithLocals is a company which allows locals to provide food and experiences to travellers or locals. Having taken Asia by storm, WithLocals have recently started launching in Europe. One of the experiences on offer in Amsterdam is a sushi making workshop, which we decided to do. During the workshop we learnt to make four different types of sushi.
This experience was kindly sponsored by WithLocals.

Amsterdam, Citywalk - Netherlands HD Travel Channel
During a walk through the city center, we collected our first impressions of Amsterdam, Netherlands.
By metro we reached the Nieuwmarkt, where a small carnival takes place. In the middle of the square is an old city gate. The city was crowded with locals and tourists and the preparations for the Koninginnedag, Dutch national holiday, were in full swing. For the time being this will be the last Koninginnedag; Queen Beatrix will place the responsibility for the country in the hands of her son, King Willem Alexander. Within the next years, the Koningsdag (Kings day) will be on April 26th, the birthday of Willem-Alexander.
Amsterdam has more than 1500 bridges, which picturesquely span over the canals. In 2013, Amsterdam celebrates the 400th anniversary of the canals.
Along the Kloveniers Voorburgwal we reach the Raamgracht and the Rembrandt House Museum. For a while, we watch what happens on the Sluyswacht.
With the metro, we arrive the Central Station, the central hub of Amsterdam. The brick building in the style of the dutch renaissance was designed by the architect P.J.H. Cuypers; it has the shape of a town gate with two towers
Along the Damrak we proceed to the Dam, the place with the royal palace, which was formerly a town hall, and the Nieuwe Kerk, where the kings and queens of the Netherlands are listed on a banner.
..........
please read more:

AMSTERDAM WITH KIDS | THE BEST THINGS TO DO IN AMSTERDAM WITH KIDS | TRAVEL WITH KIDS
After a couple of days break we’re back at it travelling again and our next destination is Amsterdam, the Venice of the North! We’ve already tried out Withlocals and loved it so we decided to go for them again when choosing fun things to do with the kids in Amsterdam. We saw lots of windmills, are stroopwafels and accidentally strolled into the red lighter district as pointed out by Jasper!
Amsterdam may not seem like your typical kid-friendly place to visit but if you’ve got children definitely heck this video out!

*The family friendly tours we did were very kindly gifted by Withlocals, but obviously all opinions are my own :)
COST OF LIVING IN AMSTERDAM FOR A SMALL FAMILY 2019 | CHILD ALLOWANCES | GOVERNMENT TAXES
Hallo Viajeros, so this video is related to the previous video that I posted about relocating with family here in the Netherlands. This is basically to give an idea to families [esp Filipino families] who are planning to move or will be relocating here in Amsterdam soon. Please note that I just provided an example Annual Gross Income and not our actual income. Also, the monthly expenses vary depending on how much a family wants to live comfortably here in Amsterdam. But I would say that Amsterdam is really expensive coming from Philippines but it has a great work-life balance and quality life.
Edit:
I forget to add that, for the sample €50k annual net income, 30% ruling is already applied since this sample computation is based on a highly skilled migrant salary.
Here's the link to the related video:
Hope this video helps! God bless :)
Here are the links that you can check for information on where to apply for a service, child allowances and also about the income computation:
