Antique Boat Museum - Intro Video
The Antique Boat Museum is a museum on the St. Lawrence River, in Clayton, New York, USA, which displays the largest collection of antique and classic boats in North America. Each year, the museum hosts the United States' oldest Antique Boat Show & Auction during the first weekend of August. It is also the site for the biennial Antique Raceboat Regatta. The museum has seasonal hours and is open mid-May to mid-October.

2015 Antique Boat Show in Clayton, NY
Thousands of people descended on Clayton, NY for the 2015 Antique Boat Show and Auction Friday, a weekend of boating-themed activities that has become a top event in the region and North America.
This year's show, the 51st annual event, features Lyman boats, which surged into popularity after World War II.

We take a Thousand Island getaway in Northern New Your State. Tour Boldt Castle on Heart Island with Uncle Sam’s Boat Tours in Alexandria Bay. Visit the Antique Boat Museum in Clayton. And stay at the Wellesley Island State Park Campground.
It been a number of years since we last have been to the Thousand Islands and visited Boldt Castle so we were pleasantly surprised how much has changed since then. When we were last there the castle was just an empty shell, not much has been restored to what it was when George Boldt owned it. The best way to get to Heart Island is by Uncle Sam’s Boat tours out of Alexandria Bay (unless you have your own boat.
Also a must see is the Antique Boat Museum in Clayton, they have one of the nicest collection of antique wooden boats on display anywhere. You can also get a guided tour of George Boldt’s house boat that was restored by Andy McNally (of the Rand McNally map family)
We stayed at Wellesley Island State Park, one of the largest campgrounds in the area. Beside to get reservations well in advance if you are coming for a summer weekend or plan your stay during the weekdays like we did.
And for the best ice cream in the Thousand Island area be sure to stop at Gal’s Place just off of 81 on RT 12.

Waiting for a few ships on the St. Lawrence River to pass @ Clayton, NY. I had a second heart attack 12 days earlier in Pittsburgh PA while on a cross country trip to NY from CA.
As a kid the family would vacation here. on the spare of the moment I choose to come here for I had a 2nd heart attack

Boldt Castle is located on Heart Island, in the United States, and is only accessible by water. From both Canada and the U.S., visitors may find transportation on either a tour boat (a list of providers can be found at the bottom of this page) or by personal pleasure craft. Passengers arriving from Canada must provide proper identification.
The Village of Clayton, nearby Cape Vincent, NY, and Alexandria Bay, NY are popular tourist destinations on the New York mainland side of the Thousand Islands region.

October 2014 Alexandria Bay, New York (Thousand Islands Tour)
This is some video from the Uncle Sams Boat Tour at Alexandria Bay, NY. I went to Alexandria Bay to attend the New York State Conference of Field Geologists, which was put on by St. Lawrence College. This boat tour took us into Canadian waters near Ganonoque, Ontario. Passports were not required since we did not exit the boat in Canada. It did seem to get colder on the Canadian Side.

You can take these boats out from the Antique Boat museum from Clayton (NY) on the 1000 island lakes. You'll spend a fabulous time criss crossing back and forth between the US and Canada borders.
This was in August 2004 with my Uncle Sandy and his wife Sue on a memorable trip one Sunday afternoon. Look for the tea shop down the street in Clayton selling amazing Blueberry pancakes. Deeeeelish !!

3 rounds of my Grandpa kicking some ass again at the Antique Race Boat Regatta! This time it was in Clayton, New York. Unfortunately I wasn't able to attend this one but he was able to send me some footage of the event and my mom was there to help get some extra shots! It turned out pretty well! I would like to thank everyone that attended and also for all the positive feedback my Grandpa received. It means alot!
