Moonshine Ridge Country Store and Cafe Review
My fiance and I stopped at the Moonshine Ridge Cafe and Country store in 2014 and had to go there again in 2015. The food is great and is a quite place to eat away from the busy town of Pigeon Forge. From Smoky Mountain Gold Cabins:
Moonshine Ridge Country Store and Café is a family owned and operated business that specializes in serving gourmet sandwiches, Bar-B-Que and sweet treats! The country store next door offers lots of samples to try of their jams, salsa's, fudge and more. This is a great way to sell your goods! Give them a taste and they are sold! So when visiting the café be sure to stop by the country store for that special treat!
The Moonshine Ridge Country store and café is easy to find. If you travel the Wears Valley road, state route 321, to Pigeon Forge, you will pass by them on the south side of the road about half way down the mountain. They have a huge parking lot and plenty of seating in the café! So no matter the time of year you will never have to wait to get in!
Moonshine Ridge Menu:
Sandwiches: From $4.99 to $8.99
Smoky Pig BBQ Pork - is slowly smoked and hand pulled! Then it is piled high on grilled Kaisar roll!
this is their signature sandwich by which all other sandwiches are measured!
The 'Ol Smoky Turkey – First the turkey is shaved thin and then grilled with smokehouse bacon and swiss cheese, piled high on a grilled ciabatta roll!
The HillBilly Philly – a sandwich made by first thin slicing steak and then grilling it with peppers and onions! Then they melt mozzarella cheese over the top and pile it all on a grilled hoagie roll!
Moonshine Reuben – a new twist on an old time favorite! The Moonshine Reuben starts with smokehouse bacon that has been cooked in sour kraut! Topped with Swiss cheese and placed on a big slice of grilled swirled rye bread!
Build the Perfect Burger– Take 100% Angus Beef Burger and grill it to perfection. Then you pick and choose the perfect toppings to make your own unique burger! What could be better than that?
Build Your Own Dog– 100% All Beef Hot Dog served on a grilled bun with your choice of toppings! Choose from chili, cheese, onions, sour kraut or cole slaw!
The Perfect Grilled Cheese – filled with soft melted cheese on a perfectly grilled wheatberry bread! You can also add tomato or bacon, yummy!
Smoked Chicken Salad Sandwich– Made from scratch chicken salad served on toasted wheatberry bread with lettece and tomato!
Sweet Treats, Homemade sides and a fountain bar round out the menu at the Moonshine Ridge Café!

Erik Friedlander Live In Dartmouth
Music by Erik Friedlander
Images by Lee Friedlander
Film by Bill Morrison
Footage by Michael Sacca, edited by Erik Friedlander.
Vanguard cellist Erik Friedlander draws on his experiences as a child traveling across the United States with his family during the 1960's and 70's to create Taking Trips To America, a engaging solo performance that brings together Erik's rich, Americana-inspired cello music, his own stories from now-distant road trips, images taken by his father, the photographer Lee Friedlander, and haunting road movies contributed by film maker Bill Morrison (Dacasia.). This multi-dimensional performance is both a celebration of the family camping trip, an archetype of American life, and a poignant memoir of a child making sense of the hundreds of hours and the hundreds of miles traveled each year. Eriks finger-picked pizzicato passages and droning Dobro-like effects alternate with bowed action in haunting melodies that propel a shared journey to discover whats beyond the next bend in the road.
The Bozeman Trail: A Rush to Montana's Gold
The Bozeman Trail was an offshoot of the Oregon Trail, a shortcut to the newly discovered gold fields of Montana Territory. Cutting through the heart of Indian country. It became a flash point for a clash of cultures that would explode into warfare, destruction and tragedy. First telecast March, 2019.
