We rode ATVs through the desert, took a sunset catamaran cruise with all the Aruba Aribas we could drink, and spent the day like a pirate where we got to swing off of the ship on a rope swing and snorkel through a ship wreck!

TOP PLACES TO GO IN ARUBA | Rent A Jeep | Vacation To Aruba
What to do in Aruba?! Rent a Jeep and explore the 'Happy Little Island'! We are so happy we rented the Jeep! Not only did it submerge us into the tiny little islands culture, but we got to see other places that we would have never visited, and we were on our own agenda! Top spot that we visited (in my book), Baby Beach. The water was INCREDIBLY clear, similar to the waters in Exuma Bahamas ????.
We rented the Jeep thru Super Car Rentals (only about 4 or 5 miles from Holiday Inn Resort in Noord). They will pick you up and drop you off (at your resort), which was REALLY helpful! We called vs emailing....but did get charged an 'International' fee (beware).

we took this one because it was reef safe & it doesnt give you that metal/burning feeling after you put it on! And its cheaper to buy in the States vs Aruba! That sun is seriously no joke!!
2. QUARTERS ..sounds like an odd one, but there are 2 places they will come in handy...1st place, the grocery store ( Superfoods), you will need it for the cart ( dont worry, you get it back once you return the cart), 2nd place, if you go to see the Flamingos, you will need quarters for the food to feed them.
3. TWO PAIRS OF SUNGLASSES... not sure if its just a me thing, but somehow, something ALWAYS happens to my ONE pair of sunglasses that I bring...and then I end up paying DOUBLE the price for a pair of cheap sunglasses that I don't even like....tell me Im not the only one lol.
4. PORTABLE CHARGER
I can't tell you the amount of times we (a group of 5) used this thing while we explored the Island
5. SNORKEL MASK
Aruba has that seriously beautiful water oh and your not reusing a mask a ton of other people have used! We love this one, it adjust great from my small head to our sons big head lol
6. A HAT so glad we all brought one.....our heads & eyes were Happy!
7. A WATERBOTTLE this one thing probably saved us at least $50 by taking this! EVERYTHING is imported to Aruba, and the bottled water (if your out and about) will cost you $3 to $5 a bottle! The best part, Aruba has SAFE drinking water! So make sure to fill up!
8. WATERPROOF CAMERA
we took our GoPro and were so excited we did, especially if you go snorkeling.
9. TOWEL CLIPS
it is SUPER windy in Aruba & there is nothing more annoying than fixing your towel every 2 seconds because the wind is always blowing & it hates towels ???? oh and, yes, I had to buy the Flamingo clips!
10. WATERPROOF PHONE PROTECTOR
these things are seriously the BEST invention for your phone (and its a great alternative to buying an expensive waterproof camera). We bought these because we didn't want to buy those super spendy otterbox phone cases (call me cheap), and they work SO SO good!

Who Is RumShopRyan:
Howdy! I’m Ryan and I hail from the land-locked, can’t get any further from the ocean, state of Kansas. I moved to laid back southwest Florida in 2001. I didn’t know a single person and didn’t have a job. Risky I know, but the ocean was calling and I had to answer.
I’m a huge fan of Kansas City sports, so you’ll probably see a lot of Jayhawks, Chiefs and Royals attire in my photos. Kansas City is a great town and I’m glad I’m from there, but the coastal life was calling. It’s kind of like Kenny Chesney’s “island boy” song. Check out the lyrics and you’ll see what I mean.
I write because I’m passionate about the Caribbean and the island lifestyle, and it’s my way to share it with you. If it has anything to do with the Caribbean, rum drinks, beach style music, or Caribbean culture, you’ll be able to find it on this site.
When in the Caribbean you’ll find a camera around my neck and note pad in my pocket. This is how I document the experiences in unique and interesting ways and bring it back to you, the Castaways.
Who is Castaway Crystal:
I was raised in Southwest Florida so it’s no surprise that I have a love for beaches, water and nature. As a child, most weekends were spent fishing in the warm gulf waters on the family boat. As an adult, most weekends are spent soaking up the sun on Ft. Myers Beach. Even though I have always loved the coastal life, I don’t think I fully appreciated it until I moved to Nashville, TN. I’m all about experiencing new things, and as a Licensed Massage Therapist I thought it would be amazing to massage some of Nashville’s biggest stars (a girl can dream right?). But I missed the sun and sand too much—and let’s not forget the rum runners! After a year I couldn’t take it anymore, this sun bunny moved back to her coast of somewhere beautiful.
I’ve always been passionate about photography and writing but my passions never really had a purpose until I met Ryan. I couldn’t be happier being Ryan’s first mate and sharing my photos and stories with you. May they inspire you to go after your tropical dreams and wishes. Make a plan…Set a date…Just go!

Aruba Island Tour | Best of Aruba Royal Caribbean | Freedom of the Seas Shore Excursion 2019
We did the Best of Aruba shore excursion with Royal Caribbean and Freedom of the Seas that took us on an island tour.
Highlights include:
- scenic drive to the natural bridge
- California lighthouse
- the Casibari Rock Formations
- an aloe factory
- Bushiribana Gold Smelter - Gold Mining Company Ruins
- one of the most popular beaches in Aruba
Our tour guide Rubin was fantastic and really made the tour extra entertaining and informative. Similar rocks to the Casibari Rock Formations can only be found in a few locations in the world. We stopped at the natural bridge for some amazing water views and learned this side of the island has such rough water it is unsafe to swim here. We stopped at the remains of Bushiribana Gold Smelter a 19th century facility built by Aruba’s Island Gold Mining Company an since abandoned.

KuKoo Kunuku Party Bus Aruba
If you are ever in Aruba and want to have a good time check out the KuKoo Kunuku Party bus tour. Lesley was our guide and was great! The crowd started out a little slow and timid but by the time it was over we were all throwing down. He loved showing us the Aruba Rollercoasters---roundabouts are all over Aruba and he would go around each one several times wide open! Hilarious in an old school bus. I would definitely do this again.
ARUBA AIR BNB TOUR AND COST - 2018 TOP VACATION SPOT
Check out our AirBnb in Aruba. Chelsea and I decided to skip the all inclusive resort this time and try out the AirBnb route on a Caribbean island. We have stayed in AirBnbs many times in the past, but since we went on a trip to Nicaragua back in December we realized how much more we enjoy the personalized experience that comes with the home sharing platforms. In addition, there is so much more privacy which can be really nice at times when we want to relax on the balcony or by the pool.
The resorts and beaches are only a 5 minute walk so if you want to join the crowds at the beach or be near the action of the hotels you can easily do so while maintaining a budget.
We would definitely recommend the place we are staying at in Aruba because the host is super friendly and provided us a whole bunch of recommendations on places to go and things to see.
The place is a 1 bedroom, but in the den/breakfast nook area there is another large bed so the place could fit up to 4 people. When you break down the cost per night divided by 4 people it becomes very price friendly.

Also, the weather is beautiful here and is sunny every day so it is a perfect vacation spot for families, retirees, and your adults. There are things to do for everyone which we will take you guys on in the next videos coming out.
