Asheville Travel Diaries with Hyatt Place
Our travel diaries/vlog from our stay in Asheville, sponsored by Hyatt Place Asheville and The Montford Rooftop Bar. We show you how you can spend a weekend in downtown Asheville, from where to stay to where to eat and shop.
STAY:
Hyatt Place Asheville
EAT:
The Montford Rooftop Bar at Hyatt Place: Peach Burrata salad and the crab fritters are amazing! But the French cut wings are to die for, unfortunately, they didn't make it on this video because they were so good we just forgot to capture them.
Brunch menu varies weekly as they partner with a different local farm each week.
Curate : The best Spanish tapas we've had. Must tries are the the Cerdo Iberico (Iberico Pork), Rossejat Negro (paella style noodles with squid in its ink) Croquetas de Pollo (chicken croquettes)
DRINK
The Montford Rooftop Bar at Hyatt Place : Not just great food but also great crafted cocktails. The best place to see the sunset and mingle with amazing views of the mountains. Get there before sunset. They will give you sunglasses if the sun is too harsh.

Best Kept Secrets in Asheville: No Taste Like Home Wild Food Adventures
Asheville is known for its eclectic downtown, its vibrant music scene, its plentiful breweries, and, of course, its award-winning restaurants. Chefs all over the city are curating their menus around what is seasonally available in Buncombe County and its surrounding areas, focusing on what grows natively or locally. The result? Fresh, exciting dishes that are ever changing; never boring.
But what if you could bring your own bounty of fresh ingredients, ones that you foraged yourself — herbs, greens, wild mushrooms, and more — to a local Asheville restaurant, to be prepared especially for you?
With the expert guidance of No Taste Like Home Wild Food Adventures, you can do exactly that: gather an array of native-growing edible plants around Asheville, then take your findings to a participating restaurant such as Rhubarb, Nightbell, or The Market Place. There, the chefs will incorporate your fresh ingredients into a unique, complimentary dish to start off your meal.

Road trip to Asheville, North Carolina
We took a 3 our road trip to Asheville, North Carolina. I enjoyed hanging with the native Ashevillians.
Community Information: Downtown Asheville, NC
Downtown Asheville is today a booming central business district, exploding with commerce, dining, art, and entertainment—offering you myriad opportunities to Live the Life You Choose.

BHTV: Asheville Parks, Part 1 – City Parks:
BHTV: A Tour of the Asheville Art Museum:
“Downtown, in my opinion, is vibrant,” says Clayton, a resident of downtown Asheville, NC. “It’s tiny—you can walk from one end to the other in about a half an hour. And you know the old real estate term “location, location, location”—I mean, that’s it!”
“I can walk out my front door and there’s over 100 restaurants downtown,” says Clayton. “Music venues, the art museum—they’re all available to us. There’s just so much happening here. I don’t think there’s another city like it. It’s amazing.”
“If you live downtown, you live in a condo,” says Clayton. “And we have them downtown. We have old historic and we have new. There’s not one like the other one. They’re all different. It’s a wonderful place to be.”
“We’ve learned a lot about what the condominium market in downtown Asheville is all about and what the typical buyer’s looking for,” says Peter Alberice of Alberice Architecture + Design, architect of the 12 South Lexington Avenue and 45 Asheland Avenue condo buildings. “That includes adequate storage, secure parking, balconies, and a rooftop amenity space that has an inside clubroom and outside viewing area to the mountains beyond.”
“The next growth area in downtown Asheville will be the South Slope,” says Alberice. “The city has targeted that as the next area that they see as being developed in downtown. It is very convenient to not only the Central Business District and the heart of downtown. It’s also very close to the River Arts District. It’s ideally located between a lot of different amenities that make up the desirability of being in downtown Asheville.”
