Kathmandu Nepal - Travel VLOG
Kathmandu is a cool place in Nepal, South Asia. it's an old style south Asian city, the infrastructure is not very good but still, you can find many places to hang out and enjoy your day. be very careful while dealing with shopkeepers, taxi drivers and people who sell anything on the streets of Kathmandu, when they see you are a foreigner, they'll tell 10 times higher prices for the thing, you should know the actual price in advance in order to deal with this.

CRAZY NEPAL Bus Ride Journey to KATHMANDU [Ep. 13]
ALL NEPAL VLOGS:
Please support this channel by not skipping the ads :)
As I was leaving Bandipur, I got to experience another interaction with the local thinking that I am a Nepali. Sorting out public bus myself from Bandipur to Dumre, then to Kathmandu was an experience in itself. The bus ride in Nepal is known to be brutal and can cause you carsickness. Nonetheless, this was the raw, non-fancy editing video showcasing the reality of travel.

ABOUT ME
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello there! If you make it this far, welcome!
I am Syifa, an Indonesian female solo traveler, who started solo traveling in 2013. I enjoy budget traveling by staying with locals, motorbike riding but also like to explore local food.
After working for the government till 2016, I left Indonesia to pursue long-term traveling. As naive as I was, it only lasted me for 5 months throughout Asia. In January 2017 I moved to China for an English teaching job, which was considered to be my first living abroad experience. Stayed until May 2018, living in China has changed me, in a good way.
I love traveling and creating travel videos on Youtube. It is such a rewarding work for me that I do wish this would last me for a while.

Assignment Asia Episode 115: Nepal's Blind Healer
Dr. Sanduk Ruit, a Nepali ophthalmologist, may well be the world champion in the war on blindness. In a country where being blind means an uncertain future, Dr. Ruit has given new hope to the visually-impaired from the small landlocked country in South Asia, and even beyond.
By pioneering a simple cataract microsurgery technique that is highly successful, Dr. Ruit has been able to restore the vision of countless individuals. Not only is his method being taught in medical schools in the United States, but he is also training doctors from around the world.
Apart from profiling Dr. Ruit and his work at his Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology in Kathmandu, the story also outlines two remarkable stories: the journey of an elderly patient, whose vision has been restored; and the extraordinary transformation of a 13-year-old Nepalese boy who was born blind, and with the help of Dr. Ruit was able to see for the very first time.

First Impressions of KATHMANDU, NEPAL [Ep. 2]
ALL NEPAL VLOGS:
Please support this channel by not skipping the ads :)
The very first video about Kathmandu that I created where I ventured out trying the minibus with other local. From Manamaiju to the touristy center of Thamel, I get to experience everything in one day. I explored several temples, shops and many other things. As I was trying to go back to my accommodation, I realized that there is no organized transportation system in Kathmandu. I didn't know how to get back to my accommodation and was helped by the locals.

Cockpit Flight Challenge - Paro to Kathmandu over Himalayas
Flying out of Paro, Bhutan on Bhutan Airlines A319 to Kathmandu, Nepal all the way in the cockpit. Watch the exciting departure out of Paro by climbing out of many mountain surroundings.
The flight is just 40 minutes across the Himalayas but it is one of the most challenging flight to operate with many restrictions and flow control.
Watch this video to see the challenge out of Bhutan and flying into Kathmandu. Enjoy the exciting cockpit footage on takeoff and landing.
---------
Join us for this special video, the third in a series highlighting the perils, delights and excellent views experienced flying between Nepal and Bhutan, making use of Kathmandu Airport and also the famous Paro airport, where only trained captains are permitted to take off and land due to the challenging geography of the airport, which sees Paro airport at the bottom of a deep valley surrounded by the tallest mountains in the world, the Himalayas.
See part one of the series, our amazing flight from Kathmandu airport to Paro airport here:
See part two of the series, consisting of an extended and highly enjoyable plane spotting session at Paro airport here:
In this video, we fly back to Kathmandu airport from Paro airport on Bhutan airlines. Before saying goodbye to Paro in Bhutan, we take a moment to admire the very beautiful and unique decoration of the passenger terminal of the remote Paro airport with its polished, wooden check in counters each with a different, intricately patterned artwork attached – the passenger terminal building was constructed back in 1999 and retains, to this day, a lot of unique and aged character which you won’t find anywhere else in the world.
We also take the opportunity to explore the business class lounge of Paro airport; despite the airport’s remote location, there is still a fantastic selection of food and drink available.
Up in the air, we are once again in the hands of an expertly trained captain, the highly competent Captain Senga, letting us relax and enjoy the stunning views of the mountains and clouds. We also have the opportunity to sample the onboard hospitality of Bhutan airlines, with a free hot towel and provided snack, some delicious hot sausage rolls, to keep us ticking over on our short flight.
Particular viewing highlights in the video include a breath-taking view of Mount Kangchenjunga, which stands at 8,586 metres tall, the third tallest mountain in the world, and a magnificent view of Paro airport shortly after departure, showing how it is deeply sunk in to its surrounding valley.
We have a little bit more time to admire the view as we are held circling in the air, 50 kilometres south of Kathmandu airport due to traffic congestion. Kathmandu airport only has nine parking stands for 42 international airlines and has only a single, bumpy, concrete runway meaning that traffic congestion at the airport is often a problem.
There is also no instrument landing system available at Kathmandu airport (also known as Tribhuvan International Airport) and we have an in-depth discussion and educational insight from the Captain surrounding the consequences of this - when flying in to Kathmandu airport, it is necessary to make use of the VOR or RNAV (RNP) approach system. The Kathmandu viewer has a non-precision approach, with the required visibility at the airport normally being a minimum of 3000 feet. Between December and February, visibility coming in to Kathmandu airport is often less than this, making things extra challenging for pilots trying to land there.
We hope you enjoyed the flight from Paro to Kathmandu – let us know what you thought of the whole exciting journey in the comments below and as always, thanks for watching!

Kathmandu Vacation Travel Video Guide
Travel video about destination Kathmandu in Nepal.
Located between China and India, Kathmandu is a metropolis in the heart of the kingdom of Nepal, a land of snow-white mountains and home of the gods.It was only a few decades ago that ancient Nepal opened its borders. Until then, due to the command of the ruling Gurkha Dynasty the ‘Home of the Divine’ was totally isolated. In the heart of the city is Durbar Square in which the country’s royalty resided until 1908 and also where the region’s most important festivals take place. The Shiva Parvati Temple dates back to the early years of the Shah Dynasty and its five sectioned, portal-like frame contains inscriptions that are thought to be the oldest in the Nepalese language. The large Jagannath Temple is dedicated to the god, Krishna, and to fend off the prudish Goddess of Lightning sexual images adorn the edge of the roof. Built above an impressive array of steps the mighty Talejk Temple overshadows each of the other temples. The architecture of this ‘mountain temple’ emphasises the unique importance of the goddess Shiva. Kumari Chowk is the residence of the living goddess Kumari. For this role a young girl is duly selected and is disallowed from leaving the palace until puberty, her task being to affirm the king his power. The customs of the people in this ‘Kingdom on the Roof of the World’ may seem strange to those from beyond its borders but this land of both jungle and everlasting snow has developed according to its own rich traditions and beliefs.

Secrets of Himalaya | Nepal in 4K
Pure. Calm. Peaceful.
This is my view of Nepal.
An explosion of contrasts between the overwhelming chaos in the cities and the peaceful way of life in the mountains. So much love for Asia and for losing myself there, so Nepal could not be an exception. Now, I know I will be back again one day, to make another and longer trekking through these majestic peaks.
Long live to Nepal, due to your geographical situation, I hope Mother Nature treats you well! Namaste!

NEPAL TRAVEL | Kathmandu - Pokhara | NEPAL REISE

Kathmandu Vacation Travel Video Guide
Travel video about destination Kathmandu in Nepal.
Kathmandu is a metropolis in the heart of the kingdom of Nepal, a land of snow-white mountains and home of the gods. For many centuries, this was the centre of Buddhist power and culture and it is here that the largest number of temples is found, dedicated to numerous deities.
In the heart of the city is Durbar Square, in which the country's royalty resided until 1908 and where the most important festivals take place. Jagannath is one of the oldest temples on the square and the original building dates back to 1560, as does the adjacent Taleju Temple.
The Shiva Parvati Temple was built in the early years of the Shah Dynasty. Its five-sectioned portal-like frame features text that is believed to be ancient Nepalese writing.
Kumari Chowk is the residence of the living goddess, Raj Kumari. For this role, a young girl is duly selected and is disallowed from leaving the palace until puberty. Her task is to affirm the king his power.
Over the years, the city has grown so much that Kathmandu is only separated from Patan by the sacred Bagmati River. The majority of the population is Hindu but Buddhists frequently use the Hindu sanctuaries. Here, religious coexistence is a reality.
The customs of the people in this 'Kingdom on the Roof of the World' may seem strange to those from beyond its borders. But this land of both jungle and everlasting snow has developed according to its own rich traditions and beliefs.
