Athens Airport Metro to Syntagma Square
I thought I'd do a video of the Metro train from Athens airport to Syntagma Square. It's about 45 minutes in to Athens. They fooled me this time by installing new ticket machines. The old ticket machines just printed a time on your little ticket, but the new ones are electronic and a scanner opens the gate for you to proceed. The train is empty when you get on but fills up quickly as the stops approach Syntagma (Constitution) Square. There is also a bus (X95) which goes to the same place from the airport. Both are 10 euros. I hope this helps save someone some money because the taxis are about 40 euros I think.

Athens (Greece) Travel - Public Transportation
Birgit shows you the best transport options from Athens to Greek Islands.
Most visitors in Greece visit the islands from Athens. Piraeus Harbor in Athens is really the hub, where are all boats and ferries take off to the islands. I will show you how to get to Piraeus from within Athens. Although you can take a taxi from anywhere within the city, the local metro is a more popular option, and a better choice. It is efficient, cheaper, and faster. You identify a train station by this sign. We will take off from the Syntagma Station. Syntagma Square is located in Central Athens, right next to the Parliament Building. We started on the blue line at Syntagma, heading towards Egaleo, and switched to the green line a Monastiraki, heading toward Piraeus, our final destination.
Buying a ticket is easy. You can buy a single fare ticket like I'm gonna buy now, or a 90 minute ticket, which includes transfers on public bus transportation. You validate your ticket here. Trains run every couple of minutes, and they start at 6 in the morning. You'll find maps in the metro station, and on the train. Make sure to hold onto your ticket for your entire journey. Give yourself an hour to get to the port. As you can see, the port is really big. There is a free bus inside of the port, that allows you to get to the further places faster. It is wise to buy your tickets a couple days in advance. But the boating schedules are subject to change. So confirm with the local newspaper the day of your departure. You can buy tickets from different boat companies along this road. I am Birgit, showing you Athens.
GREEK VLOG: Travel Around Athens
This is our last day vlog in Athens the highlight is going to see the change of guard at the parliament(Evzones). For Evzones you can watch at minute 6:45
The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is permanently guarded by Evzones, members of the presidential guard in traditional attire, foustanella.
The foustanella was worn by the Greek revolutionaries who fought the independence war against the Turkish between 1821 and 1830. It consists of a white skirt with four hundred pleats (the number of years of Turkish rule), white shirts with long sleeves, red pointed shoes with large pompons and an embroidered vest.
The change of the guards, on the hour, looks like a very slow dance where the soldiers kick their feet on the ground and in the air. On Sunday at 11 o'clock, the ceremony is more elaborate than the weekday event and features a marching band and an abundance of guards.

Lounge Review: Goldair Handling at Athens Airport, Greece
The Lounge is located in Athens International Airport . There are two lounges next to each other you can access either for free if you are Priority Pass holder which allows immediate family and several guest(but each lounge may have its own guest policy).
You can also access the Lounges If you are flying Business Class or First Class. Otherwise you will have to pay at the Desk for Lounge Access.
If you are a Chase Sapphire Reserve card holder you get unlimited access plus several guest access VS other cards which limits you to 2 guest or even sometimes puts annual limits .
The video was shot with IPHONE 6PLUS.
Card I used for Lounges Access around the world is CHASE Sapphire Reserve which comes with amazing perks such as the Priority Pass. You can check out the referral link below, if you are interested::

If you are not in the USA, you can check out your local Credit Companies that gives Free Lounge Access Benefits or Subscribe to PriorityPass, directly which I think is a bit pricey and doesn't offer the same Priority Pass Benefit as the CHASE Sapphire Reserve.
