It doesn't make this place any less beautiful though. If only passing through for 24 hours like myself, you will easily enjoy this quaint city and realize that this place is meant to be countryside! If you ever happen to find yourself in Auckland downtown which they also call Auckland CBD or Auckland Central, I promise you one thing ~ That you won’t die of hunger pangs because there is sooooo much to try here! The vibrant city is gushing with university students, has great coffee, loads of Korean-Japanese cosmetics to explore & then, there is food.....So much food that it’s mind boggling! For all the 3 weeks I was in Auckland we just ate n ate n ate & of all the things I ate, here are some of my favorite foods you can try If you happen to be in Auckland CBD & are looking for recommendations…….

Auckland City airport transfers – Cheap, direct, frequent
SkyBus travels between Auckland Airport and Auckland City and stops near most major city hotels, hostels and transport hubs. No booking or reservation is required, just turn up and go.
SkyBus operates 24 hours per day 365 days per year with departures every 10 minutes during peak times. Tickets start at just $18 one way for a single Adult fare – up to 75% less than a standard taxi.
The SkyBus service picks up passengers enroute to the airport, alternating between two routes throughout the day – Route #01 via Mt Eden Rd and Route #05 via Dominion Rd. Please allow for 20 minutes intervals between services if you are catching the service from our designated stops on Mt Eden or Dominion Roads.
SkyBus tickets start at just $18 one way (or $17 online) for a single Adult fare – 75% less than a standard taxi – plus you can save on Adult and Family tickets when you buy online.

Welcome to Auckland. The native Māori people named the area Tāmaki Makaurau, meaning desired by a hundred men. The attraction is still there today, because Auckland is now the most populous city in New Zealand.
In the City of Sails you are always surrounded by water, as becomes clear when you stand on the top of the top of Mount Eden. A nice inner-city beach is Mission Bay.
Other visitor attractions in Auckland include the stately Auckland War Memorial Museum in Auckland Domain park. Daredevils can base jump from the Sky Tower. Children will love the Rainbow's End theme park and the Auckland Zoo. Auckland has many diverse neighborhoods, such as hip Ponsonby and laid-back Devonport. From the city, you can set sail to the forest reserve of Rangitoto Island and Waiheke island with its wineries.
Auckland gives access to the scenic coastline of the country's volcanic North Island. On the other side of the Waitakere Ranges regional parkland is Piha Beach.
The city's unique Māori influence combined with its comfortable urban facilities and rugged nature make it worthwhile to travel to the far southwest of the Pacific Ocean to see Auckland.

Auckland City Tour – New Zealand ???????? August 2019 – Travel Vlog
Who remembers the TV shows, Xena and Hercules? Well, I had those shows and Lord of the Rings movies as the basis of my expectations of New Zealand as a whole, although nothing came to mind about Auckland. And on a side note, the South Island may be where those soaring mountains are from those Hollywood references ????????. Somehow, sometime in my youth, Auckland was the only city in New Zealand that I’d heard of (consequently thinking that it was the capital city). It was nice to discover what a multi-cultural city it was with great food and good shopping.
I am surprised by the weather, yes, the weather. I never pictured a cold winter in a Polynesian island❄️????!
