INSIDE AUSCHWITZ 2020 - KRAKOW, POLAND
A few weeks ago I visited Auschwitz concentration camp, which was the largest camp built by Nazi Germany during World War 2. Auschwitz is located in a town called Oswiecim, Poland. We decided to make a day trip to the camp during our time in Krakow. The experience as a whole was life-changing and I learned so much about what happened in the camp that I didn't know before. I hope you are able to learn something from this video and if you're planning on visiting Poland make sure to check out some of my other videos! Thank you!

The war was won and people returned home back to all corners of the world.
I am not Jewish nor any thing else. I filmed this based on the facts that I was given that are said to be the facts.
Millions of people were murdered at the hands of the Nazi leader Adolf Hitler, its not until you visit this place that one can realize the true extent. Hitler committed suicide just before the end of the war and then the war was over, now as the Nazi era fades into history we have this relic to remind us of the terrible things that took place in the death camps.
Version 2 contains full narration of the facts at hand.

Krakow, Poland Vlog Day 2 (including Auschwitz)
With Jit having to be at his conference for two days we had to make the most of the day that we had together. That meant that we booked onto the Auschwitz-Berkinau tour with Escape2Poland. This meant that we had easy access to Auschwitz, including transport and a tour.
The afternoon we made the most of the time that we had by guzzling a bit more grazniec in the small square with some live local music then sheltered from the rain in the Rynek Underground Museum - which I have to say is amazing!!

Walking Through Auschwitz | WARNING: Actual footage of entire camp
ATTENTION: I disabled comments due to the complete disrespect some people had towards the people who were murdered and suffered at Auschwitz. Also, filming and photographing is allowed throughout the camp except for the room of hair which I did not film out of respect for the people who suffered a great deal at this place. There are multiple signs showing no flash photography because this is not only disruptive and rude towards the people paying their respect but it also alters the items coloring over time. You can go to the website below and see it says on their website what is and isn't allowed to be filmed:

My regular vlogs are very happy and positive but this one is very different... I've always wanted to go visit auschwitz to see it for myself. I brought my camera with me so I could share this experience with people who wish to go see this place one day as well. Its a difficult thing to do but I believe it is necessary.

Visiting Krakow, Poland + Polish wedding + Auschwitz
A short, yet full city break in Krakow. Lots have happened in 4 days: from a relaxing morning breakfast to a crazy fun Polish wedding. The terrible Auschwitz and the tearful Catholic religious wedding ceremony. All of that happening in the amazing city of Krakow ( Oldest town in Poland and second biggest).
Check our video ! It will be fun, sad and emotional all together.

Płaszów Concentration Camp in Kraków (Poland)
The Płaszów Concentration Camp on the southern outskirts of Kraków. The infamous site saw 150,000 prisoners go through it, predominantly from Lesser Poland, Hungary, Slovakia - some later sent to Auschwitz. The site appears empty, forgotten, surrounded by houses. Left there to stand, yet its existence has not rotten away.

Day Trip AUSCHWITZ Concentration & Extermination Camps
While in Kraków we decided to head to Oświęcim to see the Auschwitz Birkenau Memorial and Museum. As usual, we opted for the DIY tour, caught an early train from Kraków and managed to get in during the free entry hours.
If you want to see this museum with a guide, you’ll have to pay for an educator. You can do this online or once you are there (it’s recommended to book online early to get a slot with someone that speaks you’re preferred language, however we’ve heard that it’s possible to just turn up and book once there). This is the link to book online
If you want to go in for free and without a guide like us, then you will need to visit between 7am and 10am or after 4pm. Between 10am and 4pm they make you pay for a guided tour (these hours may slightly differ depending on the season you visit, so we suggest you check first).
You can either catch a bus from Krakow to Oswiecim or a train, we went for the train because we prefer them over buses, but we’ve heard the bus trip can sometimes be faster.
We would also recommend giving yourself some time to wander around the town of Oswiecim. Its a really lovely little town with lots of places to eat and it can give you some reflection time before getting back on the train or bus.

AUSCHWITZ II, the German Nazi extermination camp (Poland), a complete tour
SUBSCRIBE: - A full tour and documentary of Auschwitz II the extermination camp including all of the important sites and places within the camp with a description of each as I walk around this huge and very sad place.
The victories of Operation Barbarossa in the summer and fall of 1941 against Hitler's new enemy, the Soviet Union, led to dramatic changes in Nazi anti-Jewish ideology and the profile of prisoners brought to Auschwitz. Construction on Auschwitz II-Birkenau began in October 1941 to ease congestion at the main camp. Reichsführer-SS Heinrich Himmler, head of the Schutzstaffel (SS), intended the camp to house 50,000 prisoners of war, who would be interned as forced laborers. Plans called for the expansion of the camp first to house 150,000 and eventually as many as 200,000 inmates. An initial contingent of 10,000 Soviet prisoners of war arrived at Auschwitz I in October 1941, but by March 1942 only 945 were still alive, and these were transferred to Birkenau, where most of them died from disease or starvation by May. By this time Hitler had decided to annihilate the Jewish people, so Birkenau was repurposed as a combination labor camp/extermination camp. The Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum estimates that 1.3 million people, 1.1 million of them Jewish, were sent to the camp during its existence.

20 Things to do in Kraków, Poland Travel Guide video transcript:
We kicked off this trip to Poland with a visit to Krakow, a city people have been telling us to visit for years and now we know why. Krakow in the summertime was wonderful! We spent our time enjoying castle views from the river side, exploring neighbourhoods covered in street art, eating some of the best pierogie of our lives, and also discovering what we think may be the best ice cream. The following is our travel guide to some of the best things to do in Krakow!
Wawel Castle is Krakow's crowning jewel, and for centuries it was the residence of the kings of Poland. You can see a mix of Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque architecture all in one place.
While in the city, we also had to walk the Royal Route, which was once the historic coronation path of Polish kings.
After visiting the basilica, we spent a bit of time walking the Main Square, which just so happens to be Europe's largest medieval town square.
And that’s it for our visit to Krakow! We hope this video gave you a few ideas of things to do around the city. If you have any other places to add to this list or any tips for fellow travellers visiting Krakow feel free to share those.
This is part of our Travel in Poland video series showcasing Polish food, Polish culture, Polish cuisine while visiting Kraków Polska.
