Genting Awana SkyWay : Enjoy the crisp mountain air as you make your way up to Resorts World Genting on the new Awana SkyWay. It takes just 10 minutes to ascend from Awana Station to the final stop, SkyAvenue Station.
Whether you are on your way up or down the mountain, you would not want to miss the stop at the midway point where you can disembark at the Chin Swee station at no extra cost and explore the Chin Swee Caves Temple and its scenic surroundings.
Remember to keep your cable car ticket as you can use the same ticket to continue your journey either to the peak or to the Awana Station.
The gondolas fly over key attractions at the resort, giving passengers a bird’s eye view of the surroundings including the site of the highly anticipated Twentieth Century Fox World Malaysia. For a more spectacular experience, try the glass-floor gondola. A breathtaking view of the 130-million-year-old rainforest below awaits.
And the good news is if your mobile phone goes flat from taking selfies or photos of the stunning scenery, you can even charge it in the gondola!
To reduce waiting time, Awana SkyWay has a top speed of 6 metres per second, and is able to carry 3,000 passengers one way every hour. The 99 standard gondolas and 10 glass-floor gondolas can seat 10 and six passengers respectively.
The French-made cable cars now stand at 2.1 metres high instead of the previous 1.6 metres, allowing passengers to get in and out easily. The new cabins are also fitted with special windows and louvres that allow more of the cool mountain air into the cable cars for the ultimate high flying experience.

20th Century Fox World Theme Park, Awana SkyWay Cable Car in Genting Highlands Malaysia
We took Awana SkyWay cable car to reduce waiting time from SkyAvenue Station through Chin Swee Station to Awana Station. The SkyWay has a top speed of 6 metres per second, and is able to carry 3,000 passengers one way every hour. Overall, there are 99 standard gondolas and 10 glass-floor gondolas which have seats if 10 and 6 passengers respectively.
From SkyAvenue Station, there was a bird eye view of the upcoming movie inspired 20th Century Fox World theme park, currently under construction at Resorts World Genting at Genting Highlands, Malaysia.
You can also choose to stop the midway point where you can disembark at the Chin Swee station at no extra cost to explore the Chin Swee Caves Temple and its scenic surroundings before heading to the Awana Station.

The Genting SkyWay also known as the Genting Highlands Cable Car was open to the public in 1997 and was South East Asia’s longest and fastest cable car system at that time, it was a great attraction for the Genting Highlands Resort. This service has since ferried 109 million people.
