Runnings of Gloversville Grand Opening
Runnings, Your Home, Farm and Outdoor Store, is hosting a Grand Opening Celebration Wednesday, October 15 through Sunday, October 19 at its new store at 233 5th Avenue. Throughout the week there will be storewide discounts, fun events for the entire family and over $50,000 in prizes including a new Ford F-150 tuck.
There will be free caps, cookies and coffee all five days. Friday through Sunday customers can visit the Two by Two Petting Zoo and purchase a hot dog, chips and a soda for $2. Proceeds will benefit the Berkshire Fire Department. On Friday, customers can meet Otto the Orange, the Syracuse University mascot; Miss NY Rodeo 2014, Chelsea Kijek; and former Buffalo Bill and Hall of Famer, Thurman Thomas. Sunday, they can see chainsaw wood carvings with Marty Long.
Customers can also register to win many prizes, such as the 2014 F-150 4×4 Super-crew Pickup Truck; a Guided Pheasant Hunt including travel and hotel; a Browning® X-Bolt Rifle; a DeWALT® 4-piece Combo Tool Kit; a Traeger® Lil’ Tex Elite Grill; a Cub Cadet® Snow Blower; a 50” Flat Screen TV; a STIHL® Chainsaw; and more than $2,500 in Runnings Gift Cards.
On Wednesday senior citizens receive 10% off their purchase and on Thursday military members receive 10% off.

Runnings stores in Canandaigua and Rome will also be holding Grand Opening Celebrations on the same dates. The company has also announced the second phase of its Northeast expansion in Clay, New York and Claremont, New Hampshire, with openings set for spring 2015.
