Day Trip: Seattle to Bainbridge Island
One of our first day trips exploring our new state since moving to Washington is to Bainbridge Island by ferry! Visited Bloedel Reserve by bus where enjoyed 12 exquisite manicured gardens, then enjoyed the main town before riding the ferry back to Downtown Seattle. The views while riding the ferry were absolutely beautiful! More day trips to come!!!!

Bainbridge Island Real Estate
Bainbridge Island Real Estate
Bainbridge Island Real Estate is a sector of the market that has received great growth in the past year. The amount of growth in this sector is enormous and hence it is one of the most sought after sectors in the industry. Talking about the united states real estate market let us put some light on the trends the Seattle real estate market has been showing lately and let us also emphasize on the plus and the minus points on the Bainbridge Island Real Estate market.
In the year 2005 USA witnessed one of the biggest booms in the Bainbridge Island Real Estate sector and the experts then estimated that the country would suffer from housing crash in the near future. To the surprise of the experts this prediction didn't came true and for the benefit of the market the predicted housing crash didn't occurred.
But Bainbridge Island Real Estate has seen a change as far as growth is considered. In the first quarter of this current year 2007, the property rise was estimated around 0.1%. This was the estimate provided by the office of federal housing enterprise. But recently we got an article from cnn.com that claimed that the prices in the Bainbridge Island Real Estate area have fallen down by 2.5% since 2005.
Well, this thing is not so shocking as we can see that there is a growth in active listing since the year 2005, almost double the amount of active listings are being done right now in the current year. Earlier there used to be 37 days on market for a home but now the number has increased to 67 days on market, this is why we are witnessing a decline in the home prices in the Seattle area and Bainbridge Island Real Estate Homes.
To an extent the customers need to understand the reasonability of this market even if the prices have fallen down the Bainbridge Island Real Estate market has become much more predictable that what tit was few years back. Thus the customers must now understand that they will hardly get the prize for there homes now which they were being offered few years back.
In terms of economics, we all know that if the supply increases the prizes will fall down to make the whole lot salable, this is what we are witnessing now says with so many houses on offer. Few years back the number of Bainbridge Island Real Estate were very few and hence the rates which the owners were getting were really touching the sky, but the situation have changed and this is what we must understand.
People are doing high active listing, some just do it to get a rate for their home and then they do not sell the home, still it counts in the supply because the property dealer will estimate the cost only if the user describes his or her home as a salable property. For a great deal you can depend on Bainbridge Island Real Estate Homes.

Riding the ferry to Bainbridge Island: A mini guide on navigating Seattle Ferries
INFO ABOUT THE FERRY
Schedule:
Ticket information:
I… like boats. I’ve always had a connection with them throughout my life. There’s just something special about traveling through water.
Today, my friends and I decided to go to Bainbridge island. It’s located near Seattle and the most popular way of getting there is via ferry.
Bainbridge island is a beautiful area to go to. While Close to the city, this area still harbors beautiful scenery and diversity. It’s super close to Seattle too. The ferry ride is only 8.6 miles long and it takes around 30 - 35 minutes. I recommend coming at least 30 minutes before departure. You can park your car in rows, which helps the staff organize the cars in the ferry.
Did I mention that? You can drive into the boat and take your car across the water. Warning. I recommend buying the round trip! It saves you hassle in the future. And I’m sure you don’t want to be driving back to Seattle by only land.
It’s quite spacious in the inside. You climb up 1 or 2 flights of stairs to get to the lobby. There are windowed booths everywhere. But why stay inside?
My favorite part about being on the ferry is goofing off with my friends above the deck, where you’re greeted with high blowing winds.
These ferries are huge. They can carry up to 2,500 passengers and up to 202 vehicles.
Many locals don’t know this but this ferry system is the largest in the US, maybe it’s because there aren’t many other parts in the US where ferry is necessary. Every year, there is at least 6,000,000 people who ride the ferry.

Whitney Gardens & Nursery, Brinnon, WA
Some of worlds biggest rhododendrons
can be found at Brinnon family's gardens
May is the best month to see the rhodies in full bloom at Whitney Gardens & Nursery, a beautiful Brinnon, Washington, roadside attraction.
The gardens can be found on U.S. Highway 101 nestled between Hood Canal, the Olympic Mountain foothills and the Dosewallips River delta.
A stop and a walk in the gardens comes highly recommended. There you will discover that the landmark's seven acres showcases more than meets the eye from 101.
Anne Sather, who turns 100 in June, and her daughter, Ellie, say they love the place they call home since 1970.
