How to reach Tirupati by Air
Tirupati airport is nestled in the region of Renigunta. You have to cross only 15 km distance from the core of the main city. Frequent flights are accessible from other major Indian metropolis such as Chennai, Hyderabad and Bangalore to this place. You can take flights from Tirupati to Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad & other major cities.
Nearest Airport : Tirupati Airport, Tirupati
How to reach Tirupati by Rail
The main railhead of the place is Tirupati Railway Station that is linked with railway stations like Bangalore, Chennai, Visakhapatnam, Madurai and Mumbai. Renigunta rail station is very close to the city and is at a distance of 15 km. Renigunta lies in Trivandrum-Delhi route. Thus, once you arrive at the capital of India, there are various sources to know how to reach Tirupati.
How to reach Tirupati by Road
One inquiring about how to reach Tirupati need not worry as there are multiple buses that run in between the major cities towards Tirupati. The prominent transport agencies of the region are APSRTC and KSRTC buses which link every part of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka with Tirupati in that order. There are numerous buses from Tirupati to Bangalore(253 km), Chennai (158 km) and Hyderabad (558 km) which will make your journey more comfortable.
Stay options at Tirupati Balaji
There are two places where you’ll find accommodation in Tirupati Balaji.
1. Tirupati and
2. Tirumala
Tirupati is about 22 km from Tirumala, where temple of Shri Balaji is located. There are hardly any private hotels in Tirumala. Neat and clean accommodation in Tirumala is provided by Tirumala Tirupati Devsthanams Trust. Stay options in Tirumala include guest houses, dormitory with locker facility, dharamshalas, mutts and choultry. Most of the stay options in Tirumala are provided by Tirumala Tirupati Devsthanams (TTD) and other religious institutions on very economical rates. Accommodation in Tirumala can be booked online at least a month in advance of your Tirupati Balaji Darshan. You can also book a room on your arrival at Tirumala by standing in a queue, it may take anywhere between 2-3 hrs.
The next best option is to book a hotel in Tirupati, which has no dearth of stay options for devotees on their way to Shri Tirupati Balaji. You may find TTD run guest houses in Tirupati as well.
Tirupati Balaji Darshan
Tirumala Tirupati Devsthanams (TTD) offers various types of darshan facility for its devotees. One can opt for :
1. Spacial Darshan Rs. 300
2. Darshan By Walk
3. Free Darshan
The darshan tickets are available at various TTD counters across India. Tirupati Balaji darshan online booking is very convenient way for a hassle free Balaji darshan at Tirumala. Darshan tickets can be booked online. These Balaji darshan options in general mean the time it will take from entering the darshan queue at Vaikuntam Queue Complex to the sanctum sanctorum, where the idol of Lord Venkata resides. It takes anywhere between 3 to 10 hrs or more depending on the number of devotees in the Balaji temple complex.
The other name Tirupati Balaji is Lord Venkata, which means destroyer of sins. Venkata is made of two words ‘Ven’ means ‘sin’ and ‘Kata’ means ‘destroyer’, thus it is believed that darshan of Lord Venkata relives one off his sins. May Lord Venkateshwara fulfill all your wishes!
MARINA BEACH
The Marina Beach is one of the best and most prominent beaches in India, covered with sparkling golden sand and a clear strip of blue sea. Located about 3 km from Chennai, at Kamarajar Salai Road, Marina Beach is believed to be the longest beach in the country. Stretching to a length of 13 km from St. George Fort to Mahabalipuram, Marina Beach is the best location to catch a stunning sunrise and a sunset. The beach is fringed by casuarina and palm trees on the side drive to provide shade. Swimming and bathing, is, however not encouraged at this beach, because of the powerful undercurrents. But, rest assured, this beach will compel you to visit again!
Marina Beach also houses an aquarium, a swimming pool, a park consisting of effigies of some of the famous personalities like B.G. Tilak, Bharathidasan, Tiruvalluvar, Mahatma Gandhi, etc. and an artificial water fountain. The lighthouse at the beach offers panoramic views of the city and operates entirely on solar power. It is also facilitated with an elevator.
