On a recent video shoot our primary camera was completely destroyed by the wind and gravity. We are trying to raise $1000 to rectify this situation. I (Clint) recently lost my job. This couldn't have happened at a worse time. Thank you beyond expression if you can help us achieve our goal of getting a new camera.

Balcones Canyonlands Conservation Plan Video (Prologue and Main Title)
Informational/educational video about the Balcones Canyonlands Conservation Plan, an environmental protection program in the Austin, Texas area, in conjunction with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service and local/state agencies and organizations. The full video is over 20 minutes long, so to give just a taste, I've included only the prologue and main title section, which I believe conveys the sense of the format as well as introduces the topic pretty well.
I produced, shot, and edited this documentary-style video for the Travis County Media Services department. (All interviews and standard B-roll shots were shot by me; all wildlife footage was supplied by the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department.)
Flat Creek Estate -- Marble Falls, Texas
The windy road of 1431 from Cedar Park to Marble Falls has been known to be one of the more picturesque scenes of the Texas Hill County. Situated just between the northern parts of Lake Travis and the Balcones Canyonlands National Wildlife Refuge is a vineyard located on some pristine land. The rolling hills, landscape, and architecture has a bit of a Tuscany feel to it. You might think that you've stepped through a door way to a vineyard region of Italy! Established at the beginning of the 21st century, the 80 acre estate has about 20 acres of vines that blend nicely with the rolling hills. Sangiovese, Tempranillo, Muscat Canelli, and Pinot Grigio are some of the varietals grown here. From their quality wine selection, you'll have the pleasure of tasting their famous Super Texas and their popular Blanco Brio. Do try their Bucking Horse Red which is a Cabernet Sauvignon/Syrah blend. And while you're at it, you'll also want to try the Bucking Horse White (100% Viognier). They've done a very nice job with their Rose and you certainly can't leave without sipping their wonderful Sparkling Almond wine! Feel free to roam the grounds and take lots of pictures. The Flat Creek Bistro (original tasting room) is a great place to hold an event. They often have wine pairing dinner events as well, so keep an eye out for those and give it a try. You won't be disappointed. The stone arches of the outside Pavilion also makes a great outside venue. With friendly faces to serve you and good wine to keep your taste buds happy, this place is worth hanging out longer than expected.

Description
Scenic Texas Hill Country - Balcones Canyonlands

The Balcones Canyonlands Preserve (BCP) spans more than 30,000 acres in western Travis County. Find out where you can hike, what endangered species it protects, and how it was created through the Balcones Canyonlands Conservation Plan (BCCP).
Visit our website (traviscountytx.gov/tnr/bccp/preserve) to learn more about how creating the BCP allowed development to continue in western Travis County while preserving the best quality habitat for these unique species.
NOTE: This video has been updated August 2018 to reflect the delisted status of the Black-capped vireo.

Balcones Canyonlands National Wildlife Refuge - Hiking
The Balcones Canyonlands is a unique area of +1200 ft hills west of the Austin metro. This is the perfect spot for an afternoon hiking trip. Doeskin Ranch is a trail system within the park. I was hesitant to post this, because I never see any people there, but as long as you guys respect the environment ( staying on trail, picking up your trash, etc), I invite you to find the solitude that you seek.

Peacful Springs 2015 Appeal - Friends of Balcones Canyonlands NWR
Please help support the acquisition of Peaceful Springs for the Balcones Canyonlands NWR. The property has been purchased through a collaborative partnership between the Friends of Balcones and the Trust for Public Land. The deal required borrowing over $1 million to complete the deal in December of 2014. We are raising funds to help retire the debt and working to secure federal dollars to add the tract to the permanent, public holdings of the refuge. Donate today at FriendsofBalcones.org. Thank you!
Special thanks to Texas Parks and Wildlife Dept. for the video of the GCW and BCVs; to Greg Lasley for the still images; to the Trust for Public Land for working to secure the deal; to Roscoe Beck for audio engineering; and to our non-profit partners who are working to save dirt throughout the Texas Hill Country; Hill Country Conservancy, Hill Country Land Trust, Colorado River Land Trust, Travis Audubon Society, Ladybird Johnson Wild Flower Center.
