The Walls Live at Ballina's Art centre 3rd of August 2009: The guys never lost it!!! On a night that celebrated the music of Dylan the guys rocked there way through some of there back catalogue, some Stunning tracks and some Dylan and some eagerly awaited new stuff which they plan to record later this year. The venue may have been small but the music was big !!!! Nice one Steve and Joe.

Members of The Core took to the Ballina Arts Centre stage on Friday December 16th 2016. Each act had their interview/documentary projected on the big screen before they performed their live set to a packed auditorium.
Congratulations to Up in Flames, Lauren Thornton, Nerves, Conchord and Lean who all put on a spectacular performance.

No matter what your musical style and taste is, we would love to hear from you here at The Core!!!
The Core is a creative space for young musicians, under the auspices of Music Generation Mayo and housed within Ballina Arts Centre. At The Core, you can express yourself and work on your music. We have a dedicated rehearsal space with lots of instruments including electric guitars, drums, piano, synths, a range of amplification, PA, and studio recording equipment. All you need to do is come along, make music, meet people and have fun! Members of The Core also have access to a range of performance opportunities and industry workshops!

FRIDAY 27th MARCH: BALLINA ARTS CENTRE
The Irish Showband Archive, hosted by Stephen Travers (Miami Showband) with Special Guest, Des Lee (Miami Showband), in association with The Ballina Salmon Festival presents Showband Stories in the Ballina Arts Centre on Friday the 27th March.
This Show, as seen on TV (PBS AMERICA, SKY TV Chn.191 & IrishTv.ie) will feature Ballina's legendary Showband, The Jack Ruane Band and will be represented on the night by Judd Ruane, Jack Ruane & Eugene McCaffrey, all of whom performed in the Band, along with fellow Ballina musician, P.J. Duffy, who performed with the Michael O'Callaghan Band in Cork as well.
Limited Tickets are available from the Arts Centre and the Salmon Festival Office. (€15)
