BEST thing to do in Arizona- HOT AIR BALLOON RIDE and BUCKET LIST experience
This video is sponsored by Rainbow Ryders. I was invited by Rainbow Ryders in Phoenix, AZ to show you the amazing hot air balloon ride adventures that they offer to guests in the southwest United States!
We woke up at 3:45 AM and drove to the Phoenix office, where we were greeted by the kindest and most knowledgeable balloon pilots. We were whisked away to our inflation site, and we were treated to a beautiful Arizona sunrise and tour of the desert.
Our pilot, Chad, was very knowledgable about desert life and scenery. We learned so much about saguaro cacti and the wildlife in the Arizona desert! Chad even had a selfie stick, bubbles, and other fun props for us to take pictures with and to further enhance our experience.
After we landed, we were treated to a champagne toast with a limited edition anniversary champagne flute that we were allowed to keep as a souvenir. Chad taught us about the history of a champagne toast after a hot air balloon landing and how it prevented locals from attacking balloons in fear that they were flying because of witchcraft. But the fun didn't stop when we landed!
We were taken back to the office and treated to prickly pear mimosas and a delicious breakfast. Chad even printed out certificates celebrating our balloon experience. Rainbow Ryders made every effort to treat us like royalty. I've done a lot of really cool things in my life, but the customer service and overall experience of this adventure made this my favorite excursion I've done in my life!

Hot air balloon fesitval
I decided to bring the boys to the Spooktacular hot air balloon festival at the Salt River Fields in Scottsdale, Arizona. It is an annual event but this was our first year attending. It was an awesome experience tp be so close to so many hot air balloons. We really enjoyed it. We did stay for a good amount of time, we just did not vlog as much since it would get repetitive. Hope you all enjoy todays vlog

A Tour of Wesley Bolin Memorial Plaza
The plaza was established on March 9, 1978, by the Arizona Legislature in honor of Governor Wesley Bolin, who had died a mere 5 days previously on March 4. Prior to the resolution creating the plaza, it had simply been a part of the Legislative Governmental Mall. While the plaza exists only as a part of the Mall, in common usage the terms are interchangeable and the name of the plaza is often used in preference to the Mall.
Much like the National Mall on which it is loosely based, the Legislative Governmental Mall is intended as an open-air public space featuring monuments, memorials and gardens. Some of these monuments were erected prior to the inception of the Plaza, such as the monument to the USS Arizona which was dedicated over a year earlier on December 7, 1976. The Plaza, when dedicated, included these existing memorials and all subsequent memorials have been located within the boundaries of the plaza.
Also located in the Plaza is the memorial dedicated to the 158th Infantry Regiment, the oldest and most prestigious unit in Arizona. The monument, based off a captured Japanese monument in the Philippines, stands as one of the few if only memorials to the regiment which served as one of the premier unit of World War II.
Owing to its location directly in front of the state capitol, the plaza has also become a meeting place and a focal point for protests and demonstrations, such as the 2006 United States immigration reform protests, with Phoenix participants culminating in a rally at the plaza. Over 100,000 participants took part in the display.[2][3]

The plaza is home to 30 memorials dedicated to topics including important individuals, organizations, and events. Among the more prominent are the mast, anchor, and a 14-inch gun of the USS Arizona, memorials to major wars such as World War I, World War II, the Vietnam War, the Korean War and Desert Storm, and America's first monument of the Bill of Rights.

Scottsdale/Phoenix Arizona Trip Thanksgiving 2014
15 second video recap of our trip to Scottsdale/Phoenix Arizona this past Thanksgiving weekend.
Aamodt's Minnesota Hot Air Balloon Rides
Our standard flight is extremely affordable and fantastic for groups, families, pairs or singles. This larger balloon basket is sectioned into four passenger compartments with lots of room in each.
The semi-private flight (only available at Aamodt's Balloon Rides) is very special because each couple or pair of passengers are in their own partitioned compartment (guaranteed just 8 passengers total). Very nice if you prefer a more intimate experience.
The private flight means you are guaranteed that it will be just the two passengers and the pilot in your own balloon, great for engagements, anniversaries or if you just want to be by yourself (with the pilot of course).
Each of these options are flown by FAA certified pilots that are some of the most experienced in the United States. We respect the fact that this is a once in a lifetime adventure for each passenger.
