Trekking in Mount Bandai | Fukushima Prefecture | Japan
Direct access from Tokyo Station to Urabandai Lake Resort hotel in Kitashiobara village. It takes about 5 hours by bus but you can also take the train to Koriyama and and then rent a car.
The 5 blue ponds are quite a sight!

天の鏡 太陽の道:猪苗代湖周辺を巡る Around Inawashiro lake:Heaven's mirror,The way of the sun going
I visited Inawashiro lake,Fukushima prefecture on May 3
and stayed there up to the morning on May 4.
The scenes in this area is so nice.
We can enjoy seeing the vista around this lake which is called
天鏡湖（pronounced as Tenkyo which means Heaven's mirror).
In Kawageta town not so far from this lake,cherry trees were fully blooming.
This riverside area was once prized as one of the Japanese best place
to see cherry blossom and enjoy Hanami activity.
This movie is a sort of milestone for these three years for me.
Thinking about my poor skill, I can't make better movie than this at all.
五色沼の奇跡 Goshikinuma shows us a miracle α A77 Movie
Goshikinuma is a set of lakes with their own characteristic colours.
This place also belongs to Bandai-asahi national park which stretches over extremely large
areas.
I took the views of Goshikinuma trekking along the way through near those lakes.
It depends on an angle at which the sunlight or sunbeam comes into lakes whether we can see their characteristic colours or not.
It wasn't fine and sometimes drizzling during trekking,but most of them I could see the colours of those lakes,it seemed so lucky and I could have a rare experience.
Fukushima prefecture had flied helicopter into the sky above Goshikinuma but only one day
when a photographer in it could shoot all the colours of lakes (of course, five colors)on one picture at the same time.
5月1日、レークラインを抜けて五色沼へと行ってきました。
沼のそばを抜けて行くコースを撮影しながら歩き通しました。
途中天候が悪く、何度かぱらつきましたが
防塵防滴性能のα77のおかげで撮影を終えることが出来ました。
恐らくほとんどの沼でその色を確かめたと思いますが
かなり幸運なことだそうで色はたとえ晴れていても見えないことがあるそうです。
日の光の量ではなくさし込む角度に依るのだそうです。
今回はかなり幸運な経験をしたと言えそうです。
福島県は三年間ヘリコプターから空撮を続けて五色すべてが揃って写ったのは
ただの一回のみだそうです。
Salvador Dali Museum in Japan + Drawing Timelapses [Urabandai, Fukushima] [ Travel Vlog]
Tokyo and other major tourist destinations are super crowded during the busy Golden Week Holidays in early May, so we tried to get away from the hustle and bustle by going to the mountains. We went to the Salvador Dali Museum in Japan (Morohashi Museum of Modern Art), the Goshikinuma Youth Hostel and the Goshikinuma trail in Urabandai, Fukushima.
It turned out to also be busy. Despite the business, the area was very relaxing.
Urabandai is in the Bandai-Asahi National Park, located between Aizu and Koriyama, Fukushima prefecture. In the area is the restored Tsuruga Castle (Tsurugajo), Kitakata (of ramen fame), Lake Inawashiro (the 4th largest lake in Japan), as well as Mt. Bandai, an active stratovolcano.

Morimori Ramen is located across from the Bandai-Toto Bus Goshikinuma Iriguchi bus stop. We highly recommend it, especially the karaage and chicken strips.

How to get there without a car:
From Inawashiro Station or Aizuwakamatsu Station, take the Bandai Toto Bus.
Confirm with the driver first that the bus goes to Urabandai, goshikinuma or Morohashi Bijutsukan.

Lake Sohara in Urabandai Highland
Urabandai is a highland in the northern part of Fukushima Prefecture in the Tohoku Region.
The highland was created by an eruption of Mt. Bandai in 1888.
Urabandai is part of Bandai Asahi National Park and offers a variety of seasonal attractions.
About 300 lakes and ponds, including Lake Goshikinuma and Lake Hibara, are scattered across Urabandai and the harmonious beauty of nature created by the abundant woodlands and lakes will certainly touch the hearts of all visitors.
Lake Sohara is the fourth largest lake in Urabandai.
There are some small islands close to the shoreline of Lake.
These islands add a special seasonal atmosphere to the area.
