Gold River is a census-designated place or town in Sacramento County, California. The population was 7,812 at the 2010 census, down from 8,023 at the 2000 census. Gold River is part of the Sacramento–Arden-Arcade–Roseville Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Downtown Reno Walk...The Legendary Truckee River Bridge
Because couples were able to get quick divorces in Reno, it became the divorce capital of the United States up until the 1970s. The legend holds that if you throw your wedding ring off the bridge, you will have a happy life should you get remarried again. Nice to have the Boss and Janet along on the chooch too!

My Sony HXR-NX100 rode shotgun on a tripod shooting at 4 fps. The tripod was held in place using bungee cords giving it I nice smooth feel, even on bumpy roads. I also used this same camera to shoot various scenes around the country, and to interview folks.

Sierra Mtn scenery from CA Zephyr ambling west of Truckee
Sit back, relax, veg out and watch some nice mountain scenery viewed from an Amtrak California Zephyr as it ambles westbound through the Sierra Nevada Mountains west of Truckee in late November. Starts just west of Soda Springs and ends just east of Blue Canyon.
