2015 Great Marian Procession in Sacramento, California
Now on it’s 7th year, the Great Marian Procession West Coast took place last Saturday, May 2, 2015, starting at the East Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Sacramento, California. Terry Barber, founder of Saint Joseph Communications, Inc., The Catholic Resource Center, Lighthouse Catholic Media and co-host with Jesse Romero on the EWTN Radio Network program “Reasons For Faith Live“, gave an inspiring talk before the procession began. The faithful were encouraged to write in their prayer requests on paper and to place them on the petition basket that was carried along with the Statue of our Lady of Fatima during the procession. The event concluded with the Crowning of flowers to Our Lady and a Solemn Mass in the Extraordinary Form (Traditional Latin Mass) at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament with His Excellency, Bishop Myron Cotta (Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of Sacramento), assisting in choro. The clergy (Fr. John Lyons, FSSP, Fr. Zachary Akers, FSSP, and Fr. Ashley Perry), choir and altar servers, were from the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter (FSSP)‘s personal parish, St. Stephen the First Martyr Parish.
