We went up north a little bit to Ely, Nevada and went camping at Cave Lake State Park. Caught some crawfish and went Kayaking. State Route 322 Mount Wilson Byway from Pioche Nevada to Echo Canyon Dam turnoff
Mount Wilson is a highly prominent mountain located in northeastern Lincoln County, Nevada. The broad mountain features three summit humps, gentle open slopes, and an array of communications towers and an FAA radar facility. Two options exist for achieving the highpoint(s): drive a pretty good dirt road 25 miles from Pioche, and make short hikes from the summit plateau, or hike an unused jeep route from the east via backcountry roads. As far as mountaineering challenges go, this won’t rank high up there on your epic scales under normal circumstances. However, it is easily accessible and offers excellent views in a very remote part of Nevada. Mount Wilson is the highest point of the Wilson Creek Mountains and also ranks 90th on the list of most prominent mountains in Nevada.

The Hamilton-Bullion Trail and the South Fork State Reservoir in Elko, Nevada
Char the Explorers journeys thru the Meadow Valley Ranchos, the Hamilton-Bullion Trail and the South Fork State Reservoir in Elko, Nevada. I sat on the side of the road on the way to South Fork and let a cattle drive pass by escorted by police! That sure was fun to sit thru!
The trail is an 11 mile loop for horses, hikers and mountain bikers. It goes from Elko onto BLM land that takes you over hills offering scenic views of the Ruby Mountains, South Fork Reservoir and the Humboldt River.
South Fork Reservoir and State Rec Area is about 20 minutes S of Elko. It covers 1,650 acres and is surrounded by 2,200 acres of wildlife-filled meadow land and rolling hills and known for its trophy-class trout and bass.

Echo Canyon State Park
Echo Canyon State Park is about twelve miles from the Nevada-Utah border and features a 65-acre reservoir. The park is home to abundant wildlife, a wide variety of native plants, and unique rock formations formed by volcanic activity 45 to 125 million years ago. The elevation of the 1800 acre park ranges from 5,200 feet to 5,600 feet and is open year-round.

10 Million Rocks! Mountain Biking Tasha Creek (Fish Lake, Utah)
Riding rough old forest horse/hiking trails is nothing new for me, and this trail was definitely rough! Dropping from Fish Lake Hightop down to Johnson's Reservoir, the Tasha Creek trail is pretty relentless with its rocks and gnar, including some stretches so crazy that they're completely unrideable. But the adventure and stunning forest scenery were worth it!

VLOG73 Walkabout and Scout Carleton college walking trails MN. Cold and miserable day deserved a walk about. I had heard about these walking trails from a co-worker. So thought I would go walk about and look at these trails. Located close to downtown Northfield, Carleton College has a reserve that follows the Cannon River. A little noisey but still a nice walk about. Still looking for e regular walk about location close to home. Did get a few good pictures and even fitted in a 2 minute tip. A bad day made better.
