Let's take a look at this mysterious road that defies gravity in Pittsburgh. It is very intriguing and apparently nobody knows that such a strange road exists here. Towards the end of the video, I'll give you the exact address, and you can go check it out for yourself and may be take your friends and freak them out.
We are sitting inside my car and the road is clearly going downhill. So, we take the car downhill and stop at this stop sign. Now, we put the car in neutral. But, when you take your feet of the gas and the brake - instead of moving forward, the car starts moving backwards. Why is the car going uphill on this road? And its starts accelerating so fast, we have to hit the brakes and stop the car!
This is really hard to believe and some of you may even wonder if I am using camera tricks to fool you. So, I went home and came back with a few things. I am pushing this ball downhill and watch what happens. It goes down because of my push, but then it stops and starts to roll back up hill, and knocks down my camera. Why do things defy the law of gravity on this road?
I'll give you the exact address of this strange road, so if you live in Pennsylvania, you can test it for yourself. It is located at the intersection of McKinney Road, and Kummer Road in Allison Park, Pittsburgh. There is more than one intersection between these roads, so it's a little hard to find this spot. On my Tom Tom GPS, the address that I enter is 601 McKinney Road, Allison Park. The longitude and latitude coordinates are 40.612790 and -80.026050.
Now, I am going to explain why such a mysterious phenomenon is happening on this road. There is a scientific explanation behind it, even though I personally find it hard to believe. I am placing a carpenter's level on the road, and incredibly it shows that this road is NOT going downhill. But when you see it with your naked eye, you can swear that it is going downhill. Somehow, the carpenter's level clearly shows that the road is going downhill towards the opposite direction, which explains why the cars and balls rolled back from the stop sign. This is known as a Gravity Hill Phenomenon. The road seems to be playing a clever trick with my eyes and even with my camera, it seems impossible to believe that the road is going down on the opposite direction.
If you live around Pittsburgh, please do drive to this place and take a look at this road. Remember to take a few people with you, and believe me they will be really shocked.

New York, New York - Hudson River Park Bikeway - 70th Street to World Trade Center HD (2014)
Hudson River Park is a waterside park on the Hudson River that extends from 59th Street south to Battery Park in the New York City borough of Manhattan. Bicycle and pedestrian paths, including the Manhattan Waterfront Greenway, span the park north to south, opening up the waterfront for recreational use. The park includes tennis and soccer fields, batting cages, children's playground, dog run, and many other features. The parkland also incorporates several rebuilt North River piers along its length, formerly used for shipping.
Hudson River Park connects many other recreational sites and landmarks including Battery Park, Battery Park City, The World Trade Center site, the World Financial Center / Winter Garden, Chelsea Piers, Pier 57, Pier 63 (site of historic ships Lightship Frying Pan and Fireboat John J. Harney), Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum, and Riverside Park. It runs through the Manhattan neighborhoods of Lower Manhattan, Battery Park City, TriBeCa, Greenwich Village, Gansevoort Market (The Meatpacking District), Chelsea, Midtown West, and Hell's Kitchen (Clinton).
It is a joint New York State and New York City collaboration and is a 550-acre (2.2 km2) park, the biggest in Manhattan after Central Park. The park arose as part of the West Side Highway replacement project in the wake of the abandoned Westway plan.

Filmed from a moving boat, the film depicts the Hudson River (i.e., North River) shoreline and the piers of lower Manhattan beginning around Fulton Street and extending to Castle Garden and Battery Park. It begins at one of the American Line piers (Pier 14 or 15, opposite Fulton Street) where an American Line steamer, either the New York or Paris, is seen docked [Frame: 0120]. The camera passes one of the Manhattan-to-New Jersey commuter ferries to Jersey City or Communipaw [0860]. Proceeding south, the distinct double towers of the Park Row, or Syndicate Building, erected in 1897-98, can be seen in the background [0866]. A coastal freighter is next [1560], then Trinity Church appears, to the left of which can be seen the Surety Building, as a tug with a C on the stack passes in foreground [2032]. Several small steamboats come into view [2136], and the B.T. Babbitt Soap factory at Pier 6 is seen [2300], followed by the Pennsylvania Railroad piers (#5 & #4), with a group of docked railroad car floats [2556], and the Lehigh Valley Railroad piers (#3 & #2), also with car floats [3030]. After work, I go for a run through the Alapocas Run State Park in Wilmington Delaware. The Brandywine river runs through it, and it features some truly remarkable scenery. And it's hilly. Man, is it hilly.
It gets pretty dark through there, which makes me realize that I really need to start packing some reflective gear for my runs. Also, I got lost again.

Claude Moore Park :: Sterling, VA
357 acres in Eastern Loudoun County are devoted to Claude Moore Park, one of the last remaining green spaces in the Sterling Suburbia. A half a mile from Route 7, the park boasts diverse habitats such as meadows, forests, and wetlands. The last known undeveloped section of Vestal's Gap Road cuts through the park, passing the old Lanesville House.

This is the third part of my video from Friday August 19, 2011, which was my third day of sightseeing in New York City.
This video shows my experience climbing to the top of the pedestal of the Statue of Liberty. After getting a great view of the Statue and the NYC skyline, I got back on the ferry and went to Ellis Island. Ellis Island was the largest port of Immigration in the United States and approximately 12 million people immigrated through there during its years of operation. I was guided through the island by a park ranger who was very knowledgeable and interesting. After that I got back on the ferry and continued my day of sightseeing in New York.

Kayaking Delaware Thompson's Bridge Run
This is the 3rd video in what I'm trying to make a weekly episode of my sons and I working toward our goal of at least 100 miles kayaking this summer. This trip is from the Brandywine Picnic Park in West Chester PA to the park at Thompson's Bridge in Delaware. It's roughly an 11 mile trip one way. More kayaking videos to come.
Black Bears in Ringtown Pennsylvania
I set this to music to hide the noise of me trying to plug in the camera. The battery was nearly dead. When I recharged it to view this the whole thing was missing and I was bummed out but hey the battery was dead. When I uploaded other stuff low and behold this was on the memory card. Mom brought out her young one on an early day forage. I guess she was showing where the easiest food heists could be found. I still don't understand how a bear can find any satisfaction in bird seed. It must taste like candy to them and have that boost of protein they need. A few days after this the young bear came without mom and pulled the feeder down. A reprimand from the door got the bear to pick up the feeder and run to a father distance.
