Music: To The Few by legendary British composer, Laurie Johnson. In tribute to Wladyslaw (Wladek) Gnys, the Polish pilot who has been credited with shooting down the first two German aircraft of WWII in the early morning hours of September 1st, 1939 - the Invasion of Poland and the first day of the war. Fifty years later, he was reconciled with the Luftwaffe pilot who made the first kill of the air war i.e., Gnys's captain, on the same morning ... he came very close in killing Wladek too. W. Gnys also took part in the Invasion of France and the Battle of Britain and barely survived the remainder of the war while flying with the RAF. .
