Vitamin Sea Charter, Gulf Breeze Fl (9ft Hammerhead Shark)
As we fished for mingo snapper this huge hammer head shark kept taunting us and finally come close to the boat. After a while he ended up taking our bate and was reeled in then released. Vitamin Sea fishing Charters gave us a great experience! We caught our limit during an 8 hour trip. Great day at Gulf Breeze fishing with these guys. I highly recommend choosing these private charters over the big multi person charters.

What kind of habitat supports offshore reef fish species? In this very special episode of Head First Fishing, we link up with I'm No Aussie Dive and Fishing. Mr. Craig takes us to some beautiful examples of west coast Florida natural live bottom reefs and ledges. These places were loaded with life. It was amazing to see all the different species of fish that live down there. The state of florida abounds with great diving opportunities no matter where you are. East or West Coast there are great dives to be done. West Central and South West Florida have some incredible natural reef habitat that is home to many different types of sea creatures. From grouper, snapper, amberjack, hogfish, and triggerfish, to sea turtles, manta rays, whale sharks, lobsters, and more! It's a diver's paradise down there as you cruise along the natural rocky outcrops and coral reefs. Offshore Tampa Bay is home to numerous wrecks and reefs that provide excellent diving opportunity, hosting a large dive and spearfishing community.

Pensacola: City in Florida
Pensacola: City in Florida
Pensacola is a waterfront city in the north of the U.S. state of Florida. It’s separated from the Gulf of Mexico by Santa Rosa Island, and its protected beaches make it a popular holiday destination. The city was one of the earliest European settlements in the U.S., and Historic Pensacola Village is a museum complex containing original 19th-century buildings.
This narrow strip of sugar-white sand features two totally different waterfront experiences, as well as several historical and natural sites that have been preserved for hundreds of years. With only one highway and plenty of sidewalks in between the two shores, you can easily enjoy the Gulf side or opt for the serenity of the sound side. Public beaches with amenities are abundant, as well as attractions, shopping, dining opportunities, and the chance to explore preserved coastal territory.
The Pensacola Beach boardwalk is home to a variety of shops, restaurants, and bars that back right up to the Santa Rosa Sound. Gentle waves, shallow, clear waters, and that famous white sand make this the ideal location for families. Bring your chairs, toys, and floats for a laid-back beach day on the northern shores of Pensacola Beach.
Anchored at the western tip of Florida, stretching miles along the Gulf of Mexico, Pensacola Beach’s mild temperature, sugar-white beaches, and crystal clear waters draw beach lovers, fishing enthusiasts and environmentalists alike.
Pensacola Beach’s atmosphere ranges from lively crowds at the main beaches with lifeguards to quiet, secluded beaches bordered by wispy sea grass. No matter what the season, beachgoers can relax on the sunny, peaceful shores of the Pensacola Beach’s award-winning, emerald-green coastline.
Located on Santa Rosa Island, one of the longest barrier islands in the world, Pensacola Beach has an old Florida feel with natural beaches, local hangouts, first-rate fishing and a historic fort.
Named Best East Coast Beach in 2016, visitors can access Gulf Islands National Seashore — the nation’s longest stretch of protected seashore — on both sides of Pensacola Beach. The secluded national park makes an ideal spot for biking, snorkeling or kayaking.
For history buffs, Fort Pickens on Pensacola Beach offers a unique look into the military significance of Pensacola going back before the American Revolution. Designed and built to fortify Pensacola Harbor, the Fort is located on the very tip of Santa Rosa Island within the national seashore.
The Pensacola Beach Gulf Pier is one of the longest in the Gulf of Mexico at 1,470 feet, stretching beyond two sand bars. In addition to being a perfect vantage point for some of the most vivid sunsets you’ll ever see, the fishing pier is the perfect place to spot an abundance of marine life – including dolphins, manatees, rays, and sharks.
The Pensacola Beach Boardwalk features open-air bars and restaurants, shops, piers and shallow water for kids along the Santa Rosa Sound. Pensacola Beach also offers an array of shopping, lodging, restaurants, beach bars and entertainment – all with minimal travel, traffic, and cost.

Sunken Vessel — an Artificial Reef Project
Sunken Vessel, an Artificial Reef Project
40 years ago this year, Danny Grizzard (3550L) was lucky enough to take part in an artificial reef project when the Great Ghost went down in the summer of 1978. It is this year and situated just offshore Panama City Beach, Florida, that he continues his involvement. This particular artificial reef project is in cooperation with local dive shops Panama City Dive Center and Panama City Diving.
In July 2018, Panama City Dive Center, a Florida NAUI facility, used its 60-foot boat, the Reef Runner, to tow offshore a 65-foot Derelict Navy vessel to be placed in 92-feet of water on a permitted site as part of an artificial reef program to be used as an artificial reef for both fisherman and divers over the years.
This site is anchored between two army tanks placed by Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission in the 90s. Since then, 13 army tanks have been added to the Panama City area over the years, spread out over the bottom sometimes as much as 200 to 300 feet apart.
This dive site will now be anchored with a 65-foot aluminum-hull vessel sitting on the bottom between two of the tanks. One tank sitting upright and the other on its side, will act as a perfect dive site for advanced divers working on wreck, navigation, or other certifications in conjunction with their local NAUI dive shops.
