Trip to Bay View State Park
Near Burlington Washington, Bay View State park is a nice little beach side water park with camping. Took a 65 minute trip on a very rare Sunny day a few weeks back from Seattle to take a look and use our TO GO passes in the Washington State Park System. Looking forward to more trips soon. Hopefully the sun will return to the North West before we all go crazy!

La Conner Washington Video Visit - Located in Tulip country Skagit County WA
La Conner WA is a great weekend getaway for residents of Northwest Washington. This small waterfront community is perhaps best known for the annual Skagit Valley Tulip Festival which draws hundreds of thousands of visitors each year from all over Washington State and British Columbia.
The most recognizable structure in La Conner is the old Rainbow Bridge built in 1957. It has a special grace to it and has inspired countless paintings and attempted paintings.
Local residents include the Swinomish indians who have lived nearby for generations. They currently run a casino and lodge which is very popular with residents and tourists. If you are visiting La Conner, the Tulip Festival or just passing through to the Washington State Ferry Terminal in Anacortes, be sure to stop in to the Swinomish Casino at least for lunch, and their fuel station has really great prices on both gas and diesel fuel.
The casino complex also has a new high rise lodge/hotel and there's even an RV park on the property as well.

Mason Neck State Park VA - Bay View Trail
Washington Park, Anacortes, WA, USA
Beautiful views of Guemes Channel and Burrows Bay as seen from Washington Park and also the park's famous leaning tree (one of Washington state's most photographed tree) in the historic town of Anacortes on Fidalgo Island in Skagit County, Washington, USA during our trip on Sep. 3, 2011.
Washington Park is located on a peninsula at the western tip of Fidalgo Island. The 220-acre city park features camping, a boat launch, and day use picnic sites. The park juts into Rosario Strait on the western edge of Anacortes, offering territorial views. A scenic 2.3-mile one-way loop road winds through the park's forested hills and meadows with views of the San Juan Islands and Olympic Mountains. The park offers sweeping views of Guemes Channel on one side and Burrows Bay on the other.
At Sunset Beach, on the north shore, there is a boat launch, restrooms, reservable picnic shelter, playground and open play area. There are 75 campsites, restrooms, showers and laundry services in the overnight area. Picnic sites and car pullouts provide beach access along Green Point, the west shoreline. The loop road is used by cars, joggers, bicyclists and walkers.
Anacortes is the gateway to the San Juan and Vancouver Islands. Downtown Anacortes has over 125 life-sized murals painted by local resident Bill Mitchell. He painted the murals over the last 25 years from historical photographs. His art is on display all over Downtown buildings with depictions of historic scenes. Pick up a free mural map at the Visitor Center located at 819 Commercial Avenue as it is a wonderful way to discover Anacortes.
Anacortes is located 18 miles west of Mount Vernon and about one hour drive from Bellingham to the north and Seattle to the south.
Driving directions to the park: From I-5 take Highway 20 West. Enter Anacortes on Spur 20 and take Commercial Avenue to 12th Street. Turn left on 12th and follow the signs (about 3 miles) to Washington Park.

Day 25 Road Trip Olympic National Park and Tacoma Washington USA Part 2
Welcome to Day 25 of the Road trip across the USA. Today we visit Olympic National Park and Tacoma Washington. We also drive through Seattle and Mt Vernon. In Olympic there are countless waterfalls, tons of hikes and many beaches. You have to check out Beaver falls, hoko falls, sol duc falls, marymere falls, and Madison falls.
Then you will want to drive up Mt Walker viewpoint, up to Hurricane ridge and drive to Cape Flattery. Ruby beach is the best beach. Port Townsend and Port Angeles are 2 cities you will also want to visit. Then of course you have to hike in the Hot rain forest and Quinault rain forest. In the rain forests you will want to see the largest spruce tree: big sitka, hike the Hall of mosses trail and Spruce Nature trail.
This place is a must stop destination on any road trip pr vacation. There are all sorts of wildlife, mountains, buttes and plant life. Don’t miss out.
Let's start a movement. Traveling before or while in college should be commonplace and expected. The power of travel is life-changing and has the potential to enhance society overall. When you travel you learn AMAZING things about yourself, the people around you, the world around you and the opportunities there are.
Without travel I argue that you will never realize your fullest potential because there is so much that you are missing out. Traveling even the smallest of distances will change the way your mind thinks and lead to what society needs most, people who have found a passion, are pursuig it and discovering breakthrough technologies, theories, lifestyles, careers and more.
In Europe this is already commonplace to take a semester, summer, month or year off to explore the EU before or during college. I want to make it commonplace in the United States of America as well. It is possible to do it on any budget and I help people learn how to make it a reality. Find out more at:

Orcas Island, Washington | Camping at Moran State Park | May 2017
My family's magical trip to Orcas Island, Washington. Orcas is one of the main islands in the San Juan Islands chain at the very northwest tip of the contiguous United States in Washington. It is only accessible by ferry from Anacortes, WA.
We camped at Moran State Park on Cascade Lake. Entire island was in full bloom when we visited in May of 2017.
I don't usually post public videos but I wanted to share Orcas Island and Moran State Park for those considering.
Disclaimer about music: I purchased all the music by Hammock used in this video. It was what we listened to while visiting Orcas Island.

Chuckanut Drive - Time Lapse - Bellingham to Mount Vernon, Washington
June 5, 2016 - On the hottest day of the year (so far), I head south of the border and take a drive down the Chuckanut Drive.
Starting in the southern part of Bellingham, Washington known as Fairhaven, Chuckanut Drive (State Route 11) hugs the coast with great views of Bellingham Bay and the nearby San Juan Islands.
Halfway along the route, Chuckanut Drive leaves the cliffside behind and makes a bee-line through the Skagit Valley towards Burlington.
Shortly after that I head a bit further south to Mount Vernon, Washington, over the Skagit River bridge that was rebuilt after falling into the river about three years ago. If you want to see that video, check this out:

The campsite at Lake Easton State Park in Easton, Washington, USA.
It was a very beautiful campsite surrounded by pine trees, it's a wonderful campsite for just being there and enjoy the peace and quietness that comes with nature.
