The London luxury train Belmond British Pullman forms part of the route (in the UK) of the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, the world's most famous train. Being the sister train to the Venice Simplon Orient-Express lunch and other dining is a very special experience. Most journeys are behind diesel engines; there are some steam trains. UK - Clan Line mixes with London Suburban Trains, 16/2/2018
Getting a couple of decent shots of Clan Line on the Belmond British Pullman service proved to be a combination of fighting with the London traffic noise and praying there'd be a gap between the suburban services running in and out of London's busiest station, Victoria. Nevertheless, I think I managed the best I could under the circumstances, and using my pocket camcorder hand held, during a few days visit to the capital with the family. The Southern Railway pacific Merchant Navy Class, number 35028 Clan Line looked resplendent in the winter sunshine and I managed to find a couple of quite nice locations, both just outside Victoria Station. The first shows the train crossing the River Thames at Chelsea Bridge and the second features a nice S-bend on the final approach to Victoria. The listed building of Battersea Power Station is prominent in the background, as the pacific waited for permission to enter the station right in front of our position on Ebury Bridge.

Power, Speed & Whistle's ! 35028 Hauls The Belmond British Pullman (2019)
One of the most luxurious steam hauled dining trains in the world makes a rare venture north out of London, as the 'Belmond British Pullman' heads to Stratford Upon Avon. The 1920's carriages were being pulled by the immaculate Merchant Navy Class 'Clan Line' which is the main choice of traction for this prestigious train due to it's power, appearance and reliability.
With this trip there was plenty of opportunities to see the locomotive in full stride and with the climb away from Stratford Upon Avon up 1/75 Wilmcote Bank, this was always going to be the highlight of the day for myself and other linesiders. All locations feature in video and there's plenty of action for all tastes !
As expected 35028 was flawless in performance and once again proves there's very little that can match this locomotive !

Clan Line, Stations Only ! The Belmond British Pullman (2019)
Merchant Navy 35028 'Clan Line' heads back to Stratford Upon Avon and running the same route it did back in July. It was a bit of late decision to go out, so I didn't have time to scout for locations, thankfully the run had gone under the radar and public wasn't too aware of it, so I made the decision to do stations only, as being midweek and with the lack of publicity, the stations shouldn't of been to busy, which turned out to be true !
Station name's feature in the video, this was another faultless performance from 'Clan Line' which as always is turned out well by the support crews ! I hope you enjoy the video.

The first railtour of the year, sees the British Pullman visit the Roman city of Bath, with passengers and staff arriving and departing in fine style.
35028 wakes up the morning commuters | Belmond British Pullman - 15.05.19
35028 Clan Line was once again at the helm of the 'Belmond British Pullman' this time on a trip from London Victoria to Bristol via Staines, Reading, Swindon and Bath Spa.
The first catch of the day was really one to witness. Having been held at Barnes due to running late and having to let a service train pass across the junction, 35028 is seen powerfully hauling her 12 coach train into Barnes Bridge station, with the regulator wide open. Something that certainly caught the attention of the morning commuters!
Sadly, this shot would be the only decent capture of the day. On the return run I was heading to North Sheen, but with the train skipping the stop at Reading, due to there not being a need to top up with coal and with green signals all the way, 35028 got infront of my train. Therefore, the only chance I had of catching the train in the end was to see it standing at Victoria at the journey's end.
