Graffiti and Street-Art Tour in Kreuzberg SO 36, Berlin - Germany 4K Travel Channel
Our walking tour with Synke in Kreuzberg brought us a set of new experiences about an urban residential area, that also attracts the great street art artists of the world.
We met our blogger female friend Synke for the first time in Nantes. On the ITB Berlin she invited us to join her with the camera on a photographic safari through Kreuzberg, which we gladly accepted.
Meeting point was the suburban train station Silesian Gate. She gave us a short statement about her activities. In addition to her blog she organizes photo tours in Berlin and also conducts courses in photography. One of her specialty are bulb exposures at night, see
Further participants of the photo tour arrived and were cordially welcomed. Among them were photo-enthusiasts from Canada and Italy.
Synke first led us to a fallow area in the Curvystrasse. The area, originally overgrown with bushes, had turned into a camp by homeless persons. The artist BLU, whose Street art we have already seen in Athens, painted the surrounding façades. After the clearing of the camp, BLU painted over the paintings, presumably to not grant advantage to real estate speculators.
Next destination was the Oberbaum Bridge. On the way there we saw a number of street art, including another of BLU. From a distance we could take a look at the East Side Gallery.
The Oberbaum Bridge was planned as a follow-up construction of a former custom bridge. At the same time, Siemens & Halske received the permission to set up a railway bridge almost in the same place. One agreed on a common railway and highway bridge. The result was an impressive building.
But our destination lies somewhere else and so we turn around and go along the Skalitzer Street, past the former barracks of the 3rd Foot Guards, the Emmauskirche and the subway station Görlitzer Bahnhof.
When turning from the Oranienstrasse into the Manteuffelstrasse we see a beautiful painting of ROA, whose wolf we already admired in Rome.
We had planned to have breakfast in the historic market hall, but unfortunately, it was closed on Sunday.

Berlin Walk Mitte Haus Schwarzenberg ???????? [4K] Streetart, Art & Coulture, History, Germany
Haus Schwarzenberg is the smallest and most exceptional Streetart Hotspot in Berlin. The house is located beside the Hackesche Höfe. The Haus Schwarzenberg and its yard are hidden behind a back-alley gateway that can be easily overlooked, when passing by for the first time. Once you’ve found it, however, you’re rewarded with an overwhelming amount of Street Art and the feeling that you’ve just travelled in time.
The Street Art at RAW-Tempel in Berlin, Germany
I stumbled upon RAW-Tempel trekking through Berlin the other day and was floored by all the street art. I literally just grabbed my phone and just started shooting video. This is just a small summary of what I saw.

Berlin Street Art 2012 (East) - In A Berlin Minute (Week 124)
RE-PUBLISHED (original date: September 13, 2012) -- --
For this third annual Berlin Street Art video (the others: Week 18 in 2010 and Week 68 in 2011) I let Berlin blogger and street art photographer David Yates take me on a tour through Prenzlauer Berg, Mitte and Friedrichshain (all former East Berlin neighborhoods). He didn't just know where to find them, but he also knew a lot of the artists. Check out his blog AndBerlin for more street art images and Berlin posts.
Because I found too many great pieces, I made two decisions: 1 - there'll be another extended version one of these days; and 2 - I'll make another 1-minute video about street art in the former West Berlin neighborhoods... [which you can now find here: Street Art (West Berlin) – In A Berlin Minute (Week 136)
Some of the artists whose work is in this video: El Bocho, Alias, Alicé, Mr. Fahrenheit, tona, Robi The Dog and... who can name the others?
