While in port in Bermuda, we went out on our own to the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute (BUEI). I wasn't sure what to expect but knew we'd see something related to underwater exploration. I was not disappointed and we saw more than that even.
Check out my video to see all the additional interesting stuff to see. This place is more than just about underwater exploration. I think it's worth a visit if you are in Bermuda!

Downtown Hamilton in Bermuda, is basically Downtown. Hamilton is the capital city of Bermuda, a British island territory in the North Atlantic. Along the harbor, Front Street features pastel-colored colonial buildings and high-end shops. The stone Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity has a tower with city views. The Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute offers ocean discovery exhibits. Northeast is the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum and Zoo, home to sharks and turtles.

Hartley's Under Sea Adventures - Bermuda YP
Hartley's Helmet Diving is Bermuda's premier undersea walk. Greg Hartley, who's family started helmet diving over 75 years ago, had his first dive at age 3. His friends, Stormin Norman the Snapper, Queen Latifa the Angelfish, Franklin the Goldentailed Moray, Gollum the Squirrelfish, E.T.Puffer and many more are all finning back and forth waiting for you. Bermuda 2019 - Bower Family Vacation
Our week exploring the beaches, forts, lighthouses, and museums of Bermuda. We started at the Swizzle Inn and then took a trip down into nearby Crystal Caves. We also stopped by the Harbour Nights Street Festival in Hamilton. While in Hamilton, we saw the Bermuda Undersea Exploration Institute and Fort Hamilton. One morning, we made a trip up to the top of Gibbs Hill Lighthouse. The group also chartered a sailboat to explore the coast and do some cliff diving. We spent most of our days on Horseshoe Bay Beach (and the surrounding coves).

Bermuda sits far north of the Caribbean Sea -- about 650 miles off the coast of North Carolina -- but this archipelago of 120 islands and islets has a Caribbean soul. Blessed by the Gulf Stream, Bermuda's translucent waters and pinksand beaches rival those of more tropical climes.

There is nothing like a day at the ballpark. Or in Bermudas case, a day at the cricket field. This civilized British sport, which has been the national pastime since 1844, qualified Bermuda for the World Cup in 2007.
Each year cricket fever takes over the island for the two-day Cup Match, a fierce battle between the two leading clubs. Shops are closed, personal days are called in and nearly everyone on the island watches rival batsmen and bowlers duke it out in their pristinely starched whites.
From April through September youll be able to take in a weekend match at various pitches around town with a bit more elbow room, but no less enthusiasm. (For most Bermudans, cricket remains their first unrivaled love.) Plan on arriving early and be prepared for a festive all-day affair. The host grounds have a special section reserved for visitors and provide complimentary cricket guides for first-time spectators. Feel free to ask questions and be prepared to walk away a cricket expert.
Its standard for locals to stake out a position in advance, bringing with them picnics, drinks and even music. Bigger matches are always a good excuse for a mini-holiday, where socializing over mussel pies and delicious rum swizzles (in lieu of peanuts and Cracker Jacks) makes for a street party-style atmosphere.
