Berney Arms railway station is on the Wherry Lines in the East of England, serving the remote settlement of Berney Arms on the Halvergate Marshes in Norfolk.
PLEASE NOTE THE PUB IS CLOSED.
The Station is 14 miles 62 chains (23.8 km) from Norwich and is on a loop between Reedham and Great Yarmouth.

WILD CAMPING ON THE NORFOLK BROADS | BURGH CASTLE ROMAN FORT
I was joined by a new subscriber named Hardy and James, another subscriber who joined me in Thetford recently. This was one of the few times I've visited Norfolk for a walk and a wild camp, as it is quite a long drive for me, but I'm hoping to rectify that and get up there more often in the future.
The walk was only 4 miles long around the village of Burgh Castle on a remote section of the Norfolk Broads. We followed a bracing section of the Angles Way beside the River Yare and Breydon Water, which the Roman Fort of Burgh Castle, Berney Windmill and one of Britain's remotest pubs, The Berney Arms overlooks.
After a thorough session in the Queens Head pub, we grabbed our bags and headed off up the footpath to a quiet section on the footpath beside the water to set up camp just in time to catch an amazing sunset! The sunrise the following morning wasn't so great.
Great walk, lots of history, good camp (despite the weather) and met up with two top blokes! Cheers James and Hardy for joining me, looking forward to more camps together in the near future!

Reasonable beer selection, basic pub grub - burgers and scampi etc.
Very pleasant to have a drink and a meal outside on a nice summer's day.

Weavers Way, Norfolk - First Leg - Gt Yarmouth to Acle
A jaunt across the marshes for the first leg of the Weavers Way, 61 miles across Norfolk from Great Yarmouth to Cromer, it might not be the official route but we are doing Pier to Pier over the next few weeks hopefully ending before Christmas with a well earned beer (or two) in the theatre bar on Cromer Pier. Norfolk Broads: Berney Arms Railway Station - Ep 41
The Berney Arms railway station is without any doubt one of the most unique locations on the Norfolk Broads. Located on the outskirts of Breydon Water where it joins the River Yare. On location is also the Berney Arms pub and the Berney Arms Mill. This is a very tidal river and strong currents prevail in this area. This is quite possibly the most bizarre railway station in the United Kingdom because it basically consists of a platform in the middle of nowhere. The Berney Arms is one of the most remote pubs in Great Britain and the same must be said for this railway station. I must thoroughly recommend this location for any boater who comes to the Norfolk Broads because it is quite strange and I really do not think you will find anything that compares to this. It is truly unique and it is a beautiful spot.
Be sure to know the tides when visiting by boat as it can be a tricky area to moor up, especially for solo boaters.

This is a video of the iconic Berney Arms pub and its fire damage. It sits on the River Yare of the Norfolk Broads, across Breydon Water and not too far from Great Yarmouth.
At the time of this video, the Berney Arms pub had been subjected to arson attempts and was heavily damaged by fire.
Today we are at the Berney Arms, we are here all week. We have permission to be here because it is closed and we are keeping an eye on it.
Unfortunately, somebody set fire to it recently.
We are now going to give you a little tour.
The Berney Arms is one of the most remote pubs in Britain. It is remote because it's on the edge of Breydon Water and it's only accessible by boat, train, or by people walking. It's about a five-mile walk here from Great Yarmouth and a similar distance from Reedham.
I'm trying to film without getting any noise from the Breydon Water.
I'm just going to show you around the inside now.
Many people have fond memories of this place and unfortunately, it's now been vandalised.
Okay, let's walk-in.
This pub has been here for many years, a very long time indeed.
As I say it's only accessible by boat, or by foot.
I would have to imagine that with the plummeting higher boat trade over past decades and its remoteness makes it no longer feasible to keep it going.
This pub will be well known to many people because once you go across Breydon Water it's a very good place to stop and wait for the right tides.
Now we are about to go into the actual main pub itself. Quite an eerie feeling coming in here.

Hmm, interesting.
Unfortunately, somebody broke in here at some point in the past and they set fire to it but by pure chance, it appears to have burned itself out. However, not before doing an enormous amount of damage.
I've never actually been in this place when it was open.
It is now April 2016 and I'm led to believe it was open up until November 2015.
What is particularly eerie is if you look at this clock here now, you can see the hour hand melted just past 9 o'clock so it gives you a rough indication when the fire might have taken place.
I believe many many years ago it was a thriving village in this area because you have got the Berney Arms mill down below. I think a lot was going on up here but obviously as time went by it only became a pub for the boats. When you consider that the private boats and hire boats are only here for a few months each year, then the winters must be very long.
I thought this tiled floor was rather interesting, it looks like it dates back quite a long way.
We'll just exit the main pub.
The only thing that's left here now is this pool table.
So that's the end of the Berney Arms for a while I would imagine.
Somebody broke in at some point in the past and they took out a lot of copper tanks and what-have-you.
They also set fire to the place. However, they didn't just set fire to one place.
This chalet here was broken into and someone then smashed the place up. You can see there are remnants of a drinking binge having taken place. The copper tanks were taken out of here too.
I believe this is now in one of the sheds of the obligatory squatters. This site has several sorts of boarding cabins and I think like that they were probably for the pub's staff at some point.
Someone yet again saw it fit to vandalise this and as you can see it's very smashed up.
This other one here seems to have survived but sadly it doesn't stop here.
Unfortunately, this section here which appears to have been some sort of cafe at some point has been the centre of the arson and vandalism.
If I go right into the centre of it and I'll tell you it stinks.
The whole place has been ruined now and for the time being at least, that's the end of the Berney Arms.
Unfortunately, it's all down to the Norfolk Broads economy and the pathetic actions of vandals.
I am sure many people will have fond memories of this place.
The Berney Arms future is unknown.
Thelnetham Windmill
Wonderful little tower mill set in the heart of the north Suffolk countryside in the village of Thelnetham. Built in 1819, the mill replaced an earlier post mill which had been dismantled and moved to the South Norfolk market town of Diss. By the late 1970s, Thelnetham Mill had become derelict and was bought by a group of mill enthusiasts who, in 1980, began what became a seven year restoration.
