The Czech Republic, once part of the Austro Hungarian Empire then the Soviet Empire, became an independent country on the 1st January 1992. Just seven years later it was in the EU. Now separated from Slovakia the standard gauge rail network is nearly 9,550km in length, about a third is electrified. At the time of the fall of the wall the railways of Czechoslovakia were probably the slowest and most under-invested in central Europe. With the help of EU funding and a vibrant economy the railways have changed! The infrastructure on the lines radiating from Prague (the capital) and the transit routes- north/south Poland to Slovakia and Hungary, and east/west Ukraine to Germany- are modern railways. Liberalisation has produced a colourful railway with new entrants like Student Agency competing head on with the incumbent České dráhy or CD. Freight is also very varied. To the traditional transport of minerals from the Silesian industrial belt can be added agricultural products, the automotive industry and transit traffic. Because of coal, chemicals and FIAT in Poland - PKP Cargo’s newest locomotives seem to spend more time in the Czech Republic than on their native metals! We start our exploration in the south east quarter centred on Olomouc. With lots of varied traction and stock (including the new Russian sleeping car train from Nice to Moscow) there is a huge amount to enjoy. Filmed in HD. Narrated. Se smečkou vlků v zádech jsme putovali Prahou, až jsme našli útočiště v divadelním šapitu. Soundfeer tedy rozbije svůj zimní tábor pod stanem na pražském výstavišti. Místo je to útulné, nekuřácké, ale k parketu je připojen i kuřácký bar. Tábořiště je ve městě, takže zvuk budeme držet v decentní rovině, ale tepat by měl dostatečně. Rytmus pravidelný, beaty čerstvé jako rosa na právě natočené dvanáctce. Z Francie přijede dáma z nejzkušenějších - Josy Fullvibes. Její ranní set na letním Soundfeeru před dvěma lety je dodnes vzpomínán jako hajlajt celé akce. DJ Czech si tentokrát odskočí od funku směrem k rovným beatům, sami jsme zvědaví, jak to při svých výborných DJ schopnostech ukuchtí. IM Cyber, jedna z hlavních dam tuzemské dnb scény, už nějaký ten pátek brouzdá i v pomalejších vodách a právě proto jsme jí pozvali na letošní zimní edici. Line up doplní Soundfeer Djs Alert, Revize, Saboteur a Saku v též trochu uměřenějších setech, než u nich bývá zvykem. Přijďte si zatančit nebo se jen zastavit v tom svátečním shonu a potkat se s kamarády, šapitó bude vytopené, drinky vychlazené a večírek decentní, jak už to tak na Soundfeeru býva.
