Muslim Chinese Street Food Xi'an - Chinese Street Food - Best Muslim Street Food China
Muslim Chinese street food and Chinese Food is delicious in China! I flew to Xi'an, China and have been eating street food and dumplings non stop. Best Street Food I've tasted in China, maybe even best street food in Asia! The Chinese food is so good in Xi'an! I've eaten street food in Bejing, street food in Shanghai,, and street food in Chengdui, all of which has been amazing, but I have to say that the chinese street food in Xi'an has been some of the best!
►The BEST VPNs For China:
The street food in Xi'an was so delicious. The restaurant food was also very nice! I had some amazing noodles and dumplings in the old quarter, the muslim quarter of Xi'an. The markets around the muslim quarter had a ton of street food to try!
I met up with my local Chinese friend Ying Ying, who gave me a tour of the muslim quarter in Xi'an. It was packed with delicious stalls to eat amazing street food. The local population is all of the hui ethnicity, and the food is all beef and lamb, so delicious! You definitely need to come here to eat!
Most of the stalls shown in this video were around the Huiminjie Hui ethnicity street, along the backroads. That is something you definitely have to do when you visit Xi'an. The food is better and you can have a real authentic experience as a local as opposed to being a tourist, that's what it's all about! I really hope you enjoy my Chinese street food in Xi'an video! Thanks a lot for watching and please follow me on social media below! Thanks!

20+ Incredible Eats in Xi'an, China
I've been waiting almost 3 years to go to Xi'an, the capital of Shaanxi Province in China.
Why? Because the food there is supposed to be some of the best in the world.
Because of the variety of people, geography, and climate - China's food varies considerably from province to province. Xian is home to many Hui people - a Muslim ethnic minority. The city is considered to be China's start-line of the silk road. Many Arabs settled in the area after coming to trade their wares. They brought with them their food, including many types of bread that weren't previously popular in China. They also bred many sheep for meat, since they don't eat pork (the most popular meat in China). This cuisine adapted over the years, adjusting to Chinese cooking methods, ingredients, and the tastes of the Han people.
Huimen Street, also known as the Xi'an Muslim Quarters is a huge tourist attraction, and it's mostly packed with food. Chinese people love to eat regional specialties and there is plenty of that in Xi'an. But of course, we veered off the beaten path, heading deep into the Muslim quarters where the Hui people actually go to eat. We stuffed ourselves for 3 days, which wasn't nearly enough time to try everything. It was an amazing experience, and Xi'an has become one of my favorite places in China.
The food from the video:
Egg cake - 鸡蛋糕
Grilled Octopus
Crispy Chili Peppers with Peanuts
Braised sheep hooves
Oil Cake - 油饼
Dragon's breath candy - 龙的呼吸
Youcha (a powder used to make a thick soup broth) - 油茶
Osmanthus Cake - 桂花糕
Biang biang noodles
Beef dry noodles - 牛肉干拌面
Bean sauce noodles AKA zhajiang noodles - 炸酱面
Fairy bean cake - 仙豆糕
Sticky cake sweet rice - 镜糕甜饭
Chinese Hamburger AKA rou jia mo - 肉夹馍
Lamb kebabs - 羊肉串
Big plate chicken - 大盘鸡
Crispy beef patties - 香酥牛肉饼
Lamb and Flat Bread Soup AKA Yang Rou Pao Mo - 羊肉泡馍
Sweet pickled garlic - 糖蒜
Sour soup lamb dumplings AKA suantang dumplings - 酸汤饺子
Ding Ding fried noodles - 丁丁炒面
While I love Xi'an's cuisine, my heart belongs to Sichuan. I live in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan, and I've written a guide to Sichuan food. Check it out if you are going to the area.

China has so many delicious street foods to try, and I've been eating and filming them for you for the past 4 years. After eating for 4 years, in my opinion, some of the best noodles in China are the hand pulled noodles found in Xi'an. China has some of the best street food in the world, and these hand-pulled noodles were INSANELY good, definitely some of the best noodles in China for sure!
If you're traveling in China to eat and try some different street foods, and if you want to learn a little more about Chinese cooking and Chinese food in the process, you should eat a few different variations of hand pulled noodles. When they are prepared for you on the street and you can watch the noodle pulling happening right in front of you, it's an amazing street food experience. You can watch as they pull the noodles thinner and thinner, and then scoop the spicy ingredients like chili oil, soy sauce, spices, and beef into the bowl and boil the noodles. Then they place the steaming hot noodles over top! It is truly satisfying!
We're going DEEP to try some INSANE Chinese hand pulled noodles in Xi'an, China. Xi'an is home to the hui chinese, a Muslim minority in China that has some incredibly delicious cuisine. In the back streets of Xi'an it feels like islamic China, with so many different variations of Halal street food to try, including incredibly delicious hand-pulled noodles, loaded with spicy beef and chili oil and tons of spices.
And when your hand-pulled noodles arrive to your table, it's very important to mix up all the chili oil and ingredients thoroughly. This makes sure that the spicy flavour and the hot oil gets coated onto each noodle evenly before you take a bite. It is the most satisfying thing in the world mixing up all the ingredients into your noodles before you take a bite. It's also quite satisfying watching the noodles turn dark red slowly, from white into red and silky smooth.
If you are traveling to Xi'an, china and want to find these famous hand-pulled noodles, here are the addresses:
1) WIDE Stretched Hand Pulled BIANG BIANG Mian:
Restaurant name: 刘老四牛肉擀面庄
