Top 5 Things To Do in Playa del Carmen | What To Do in Playa del Carmen
Here are my personal Top 5 Things to do when you are coming down to Playa del Carmen. Playa del Carmen was put on the map because of the traffic of tourism attracted to Cancun, and eventually Playa del Carmen was going to be discovered. A few decades ago, Playa del Carmen, which is now one of the fastest growing towns in the world, was nothing more than a small fishing village. With the expansion of tourism along, what is now known as the Riviera Maya, Playa del Carmen has grown at an incredible rate, all thanks to tourism. As you can imagine, with tourism, influx of money and people, there is a strong need for things to do, activities and tourist attractions while in Playa del Carmen. Of course, it is known for the beaches but people these days want more than just sitting on a beach, especially when you are coming down for longer than a week, or an indefinite trip. This video explains my Top 5 What to do in Playa del Carmen.
Listed below are a number of other videos on this channel which show some other incredible things to do in the Playa del Carmen area and the Mayan Riviera in general.

Twenty years from now
You will be more disappointed by the things
that you didn't do, than by the ones you did do.
So throw off the bowlines.
Sail away from the safe harbor.
Catch the trade winds in your sails.
Explore. Dream. Discover !!

których nie zrobiłeś niż tymi, które zrobiłeś.

Xcaret Eco Park Riviera Maya Attractions Mexico Cancun 4K UHD
Xcaret is probably the top attraction for Cancun and Riviera Maya visitors. It is located just a few minutes from Playa del Carmen with seemingly endless attractions, you'll need at least a full day in Xcaret to see the park. Xcaret is an Ecological and Archaeological Park located south of Cancun in the Riviera Maya that contains small Mayan Ruins, water activities, as well as a wide variety of flora and fauna, including Jaguars, Dolphins, Underground Rivers, Coral Reef Aquarium, Jungle Trail, Mayan Village, Mayan Cemetery, Museum of Culture and Anthropology, Regional Wildlife Enclosure and more.
The Best Cenotes Near Cancun
These are some of the best Cenotes near Cancun, in the Riviera Maya area. A serious snowstorm was barreling in on Colorado and I decided to take a last minute trip to the Riviera Maya with my friend Larkin. We ate muchos frijoles, jumped in every Cenote possible, and enjoyed the simple magic of Mexico. We were only there a little over three days, but it was incredible. Viva Mexico! *Thank you Larkin for the awesome sunrise footage at the end of this video.

Palenque, Merida & Playa del Carmen - Mexico tour days 10 - 15
We had to set off early for Palenque to avoid traffic jams caused by armed union activists who had blocked roads to demand contributions to their strike fund. En route we stopped at Aqua Azul and Cascadas de Miso-ha waterfalls. We swam and were able to walk behind the second waterfall. Our choice for the options available for the day was a visit to the archeological site at Pelenque where our guide gave us some more insights into the Mayan world. The Palenque site is unusual for the burial chamber under the pyramid of the inscription and the collection of interconnecting buildings called The Palace, the comb like constructions on the temple of the sun and the temple of the cross. It is also interesting to see where the jungle has grown back over other temples such as the Groupo Norte and the Complex of the Bats. We then travelled to Merida by bus. We opted for the trip to Acanceh with its pyramid beside the modern main square and then on to a ruined sisal hacienda Chunkanan. We viewed Merida's Posh district Paseo de Monjejo and watched some typical Yucatan music and dance. The following day we set off for Playa del Carmen via the huge Mayan site Chichen Itza with its central pyramid El Castillo and ball courts. We had a swim in the amazing Il Kil centoe before reaching Playa del Carmen with it's Caribbean night life for our final dinner.

PLAYA DEL CARMEN, RIVIERA MAYA, MEXICO TRAVEL, PLAYA DEL CARMEN MEXICO
PLAYA DEL CARMEN, RIVIERA MAYA, MEXICO TRAVEL, PLAYA DEL CARMEN MEXICO, Playa del Carmen is a coastal resort town in Mexico, along the Yucatán Peninsula's Riviera Maya strip of Caribbean shoreline. In the state of Quintana Roo, it’s known for its palm-lined beaches and coral reefs. Its Quinta Avenida pedestrian thoroughfare runs parallel to the beach, with blocks of shops, restaurants and nightspots ranging from laid-back bars to dance clubs. Playa del Carmen (Spanish pronunciation: ['plaʝa ðel 'kaɾmen]) is a city located along the Caribbean Sea in the municipality of Solidaridad, in the state of Quintana Roo, Mexico. It is a popular tourist area in eastern Mexico. Playa del Carmen features a wide array of tourist activities due to its geographical location in the Riviera Maya. It has also been the destination of PGA Tour golf tournaments and the set location for various television shows. The town has become one of the fastest to grow in population size in Mexico. Playa del Carmen is located within the Riviera Maya, which runs from south of Cancún to Tulum and the Sian Ka'an biosphere reserve. Playa is a stop for several cruise ships which dock at the nearby Calica quarry docks, about six miles (10 km) south of the city. The Xcaret Eco Park, a Mexican-themed eco-archaeological park, is a popular tourist destination located just south of the town in Xcaret (pronounced ish-kar-et). In October 2005, Hurricane Wilma passed directly over Playa del Carmen, remaining in the vicinity for two days and causing significant damage and a temporary drop in tourist arrivals. Most of the damage was relatively superficial and repaired within a few weeks of the storm. Hurricane Wilma arrived from the Caribbean Sea, passing over Cozumel before making landfall in Playa del Carmen. It then moved north along the Mexican coast, hitting Cancún especially hard. Originally a small fishing town, tourism to Playa del Carmen began with the passenger ferry service to Cozumel, an island across the Cozumel Channel and a world-famous scuba diving destination.
Playa del Carmen has recently undergone extreme rapid development with new luxury residential condominium buildings, restaurants, boutiques and entertainment venues. Tourist activity in Playa del Carmen centers on Quinta Avenida, or Fifth Avenue, which stretches from Calle 1 norte to Calle 40. A pedestrian walkway located just one or two blocks inland from the beach, Fifth Avenue is lined with hundreds of shops, bars and restaurants. There are many small boutique hotels on and just off Fifth Avenue and on the beach.
Playacar is a residential and tourist development in Playa del Carmen just south of the main urban area. Most of the all-inclusive hotels, the aviary and the golf course are located in this development. There are two phases – phase 1 is mostly residential with a few hotels and some stores, while phase 2 contains the largest all-inclusive resorts as well as the golf course and a significant number of residential properties.
Playa del Carmen is host to several major annual events. The largest of these was The BPM Festival, a world-famous electronic dance music festival which, up until recently, took place in January each year.

Riviera Maya – From frothy drinks on stunning beaches to guided tours of ancient ruins, the Riviera Maya has it all. Check out the coolest things to see and do here.
When ready, browse vacation packages to Riviera Maya:
On the eastern edge of the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico, #RivieraMaya is just a half-hour away from the party town of Cancun. If you’re looking for something quieter, start your Riviera Maya #vacation in Puerto Morelos, a quaint fishing town where you can rent a catamaran for an afternoon at sea, or say “buenos días” to a reptile at Crococun Zoo.
Playa del Carmen is a great home base for those who want to #explore the rest of the Riviera Maya. Distinctly European in its architecture and layout, you’ll find plenty of charming places to stay, and many boutique shopping and dining opportunities.
Catch a ferry to Cozumel, an island just off the coast. It’s part of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, where you can scuba or snorkel off the island’s sheltered western side. Back on the mainland, the ruined city of Talum offers a breathtaking vista of the sea.
For now, we hope you enjoy watching this #travel #guide as much as we enjoyed making it.
