The “Celebration of Freedom Air Show” is held at Dover Air Force Base and includes precision aerobatic flying in addition to the Air Force Thunderbirds. Delaware is a beautiful state…without any national parks. Delaware beaches attract thousands of visitors each year. Fenwick Island is where local kite boarders and kite surfers come to catch big air and talk about their sport. Peggy Raley had to get the state laws changed in order to create Delaware’s first and only winery, Nassau Valley Vineyards. Now, they are producing award-winning wines. Horseshoe Crabs, one of the most important marine invertebrates, are used for a variety of purposes including medical research. Go on a nighttime crab survey with scientists as they study horseshoe crab populations. Each year, millions of birds from South America fly to the arctic, stopping in Delaware to feed on the horseshoe crab eggs. The Migratory Bird Festival at Bombay Hook is timed to coincide with the arrival of the horseshoe crabs. Fort Delaware, once a Civil War prisoner of war camp, is now a “living history” museum with characters portraying life in the year 1864. Wilmington, and nearby, the DuPont estate, Winterthur. Elegant rooms full of antiques, civil war relics and period furnishings used by the DuPont’s when in residence, are on display. Discover Seas Shipwreck Museum showcases an amazing collection of relics recovered by treasure hunter Dale Clifton, from shipwrecks off the coast of Delaware and around the world. Rehoboth Beach Delaware summer sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean USA
Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, USA
Rehoboth Beach is a city along the Atlantic Ocean in eastern Sussex County, Delaware.
The town of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware often bills itself as The Nation's Summer Capital due to the fact that it is a frequent summer vacation destination for Washington, D.C., residents (121.78 miles / 2 hrs 46 mins from The White House)
Vacationers are drawn for many reasons, including the town's charm, tax free shopping and famous for its beaches, wooden boardwalk, eclectic shops, amusements, and sporting activities
Rehoboth Beach is one of the principal cities of Delaware's rapidly growing Cape Region.
In 2011, the NRDC Natural Resources Defense Council awarded Rehoboth Beach with a 5-Star rating in water quality.
Out of the 30 states with coastline, the Delaware Beaches ranked number one in water quality in 2011.
Rehoboth Beach is also known as one of the mid-Atlantic coast's popular LGBT Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender - gay-friendly getaways because of the large number of gay-owned and operated businesses and because of the gay-frequented stretch of beach near Queen Street, known as Poodle Beach.
Dogfish Head Brewery's original brewpub is located on the town's main strip Rehoboth Avenue.
Rehoboth (Hebrew: רְחוֹבוֹת) means broad spaces. It appears three times in the Old Testament as a place name: a well dug by Isaac (at modern Wadi er-Ruheibeh) (Gen. 26:22), a city on the Euphrates River (Gen. 36:37; 1 Chr. 1:48), and one of the cities of Asshur (Gen. 10:11). Hence the name may have had a special appeal for the religious founders of the city, although the adjacent bay had already borne the name Rehoboth for at least a century before the town was founded.
In September CAMP Rehoboth Community Center / Letters from CAMP magazine hosts an annual Labor Day weekend event called SUNDANCE with an fundraiser auction and dance party at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center.
CAMP Rehoboth is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, gay and lesbian community service organization, originally developed to “Create A More Positive” relationship among all the people of the Rehoboth Beach area.
Each October Rehoboth Beach hosts the Annual Sea Witch Halloween & Fiddlers Festival ( Happy Halloween - The Blessed Samhain Festival - Autumn Holidays Celebration) with a parade, Trick or Treat, and the very popular broom tossing event right at the beach.

ATHIRAPILLY,, REAL KERALA'S BUETIFUL PLACE
The Athirappilly Falls is situated 1000 ft above sea level on the Chalakudy river, at the entrance to the Sholayar ranges of the Western Ghats, Athirappalli is a scenic combination of forests and little streams. Falling from a height of 80 feet, this is one of the largest waterfalls in the state. Many endangered and endemic species of flora and fauna are found in the forests of the Athirapilly-Vazhachal area. This area is the only place in the Western Ghats where four endangered Hornbill species are seen. The Western Ghats is one of the most important biodiversity hot spot in the world. This valuable natural world is already degraded by mining and hydro electric projects. Environmentalists claim that Athirapally is a one-of its-kind riparian ecosystem in Kerala. V.S. Vijayan, Chairman of the Kerala State Biodiversity Board and former Director of the Salim Ali Centre for Ornithology and Natural History (SACON), Coimbatore, has been quoted in Down to Earth magazine as affirming that the Vazhachal forest division is the second most biodiverse area in the State. The International Bird Association has declared it an Important Bird Area and the Asian Nature Conservation Foundation has recommended that the area should be declared a sanctuary or a national park, he points out.

Spring Break: Delaware! (DE: State Walk 5/50)
It was only fitting to spend my last spring break in the First State! After getting the hang of my first 4 states, Delaware was a breeze, and my 6 days from Wilmington to Fenwick Island were fun, pleasant, and enjoyable. The conversations I had during my visit have so far been my favorite ones of any state! I couldn't have done it without the help of those mentioned at the end of the video. This is a recap video and daily vlogs will be uploaded as well.

The Botanical Garden at the Wilmington Riverfront
It is one of the most soothing, yet little known places in Wilmington: The Russell W. Peterson Urban Wildlife Refuge. This urban oasis is named for the environmentalist and former governor of Delaware who died early this year. This little viddie introduces you to this innovative wetland restoration project by looking at the botanical garden in the refuge. Take one step off the sidewalk and you'll be able to walk among flowers and plants like gray dogwood, cattails, and marsh grasses. There most certainly are several types of insects including dragonflies, bumblebees and crickets, but none are hostile. The gentle babble of the man-made waterfall is an enticing call to stay awhile, although the operating steel mill across the Christina River sometimes screeches like a car wreck long enough to ruin the mood. Regrettably, the garden is such a short stretch it is impossible to feel lost in the wild. But it's a good excuse to return again and again.
