Grafton St. Dublin at lunchtime Thursday 16th September 2010,
I walked on Grafton St. Dublin at lunchtime Thursday 16th September 2010, from the College Green direction to St. Stephen's Green. Grafton Street, located between Trinity College and St Stephen's Green is the more smart shopping area with fashionable stores such as Brown Thomas, the department store catering for many designer showcases, both foreign and local. Dublin's leading and most exclusive jewellers, Weirs, is also here, as well as the most popular of the famous Bewley's Cafés. Bewley's Oriental Café, a Grafton Street institution since its opening in 1927, announced at the end of October 2004 that it would be closing before Christmas, along with its Westmoreland Street café. Following a campaign by many, including the then Mayor of Dublin, Catherine Byrne, the café on Grafton Street, which had closed, was reopened, including its small performance area.

FRED & ALICE
Love in the time of OCD
It's not easy to get by in this crazy old world. But Fred and Alice have discovered that all you really need are 2 tennis rackets, a freezer full of ready meals and an immature coping strategy.
Fred and Alice first met in the home. It wasn't really a home but Fred always called it a home because that was where he lived, and if you are not living at home then where are you? It was love at first sight for Alice. Fred didn't talk to her again for years but then eventually Fred got used to her and it was love at first sight for him too. From their days in care, to independent living, Fred and Alice negotiate the perils and pitfalls of home cooking, responsible pet care and boiler maintenance.
A blistering head wreck played at a hilarious pace!

Cirque des Rêves | Bewley's Café Theatre | Teaser 2016
BEWLEY’S CAFÉ THEATRE @ POWERSCOURT with Illustrated and Sickle Moon Productions are proud to present the return of Cirque des Rêves.
Cirque des Rêves follows the adventures of Poppy Parker, an ordinary girl who wishes to escape her life for something a little... extra ordinary. Then one day a circus came to town, and suddenly an ordinary life didn’t seem so quite so bad after all. Cirque des Rêves is a story of magic, mystery, lost souls and blind but oddly accurate fortune tellers that will capture the imaginations of both the young and the young at heart.
Be careful what you wish for… it might just come true.
A spooky treat for both adults and children! (8+)
