Beypore or Beypur is an ancient port town and a Municipality town in Kozhikode district in the state of Kerala, India. The place was formerly known as Vaypura / Vadaparappanad.
Beypore is 180 km North of Cochin and 391 km away from Trivandrum. Beypore port is the second biggest port in Kerala after Cochin and currently handles about 100,000 tones of cargo and 7500 passengers per annum.
Pulimuttu- Pulimuttu is the local name of the 1 km long bridge made of stone stretching in to sea. It is made by piling stones like a pathway to sea.
Beypore light house is situated at the south bank of chaliyar.

Bey pore or Beypur is an ancient port town and a locality town in kozhikode district in the state of kerala, india. The place was formerly known as vayapura / vadapanappanad . Tipu Sultan ruler of mysore, named the town sultan patt anamorphic . There is marina and a beach while Bey pore port is one of the oldest port in kerala.

Welcome to our 6th Video of Kerala Tour in which we will be exploring the glimpse of Calicut also known as Kozhikode(कोड़िकोड).
Note: We always believe in genuine reviews and pure authentic experiences. Also, we never do Paid Reviews.
After arriving from Thallserry, I have visited Beypore Beach which is most peaceful spot of Kerala. The water of the river was little dirty due to floody situation and monsoon season.
So, I have taken a public bus from Calicut bus stand for Beypore Beach.
Bus Ticket : 15-20 INR.

Best thing to watch: View Point.
then from that same bus, I have returned to main city nearer to calicut beach(2 KM away from city Center). Till, the time I reached there, heavy rainfall was already started and I haven't visited Calicut beach and then I have gone to Bombay hotel for a Extremely lipsmacking street food i.e. Stir Fried Soyabean.

Price: 40 INR
Timings: After 7.00 PM
Location: Opp. Bombay Hotel, Calicut.
Then I have tasted a vegetarian sweet dish known as Unnakaya which resembles to be a sweet Bread Roll. They have non vegetarian sweet dishes also, so ask before you eat.

After this Rainfall never stopped as there was orange alert in Calicut due to which our Bus also got cancelled which was for Thekkady.
So I have gone to final destination of Calicut before leaving that Orange Alert zone and that was S.M Market.
Location:
S.M Market is generally famous for their Halwas(Sweet Delicacies). So I have tasted approx. 6 types of Halwas and I had purchased 4 Types.
Price Range lies in between: INR 80 to INR 250 / KG
After this I have decided to go to Thrissur so that I can collect my Baggage, but a serious tragedy happens with me and I had lost my wallet in a very silly way inside the train.
Important Note: All the detailed Planning related details will be shared after the end of Kerala tour, so don't worry. In between you have any queries then, do share your comments.
Trip was Started on 05 August 2019 and completed on 14 August 2019.

Beypore or Beypur is an ancient port town and a Municipality town in Kozhikode district in the state of Kerala, India. The place was formerly known as Vaypura / Vadaparappanad. Tipu Sultan, ruler of Mysore, named the town Sultan Pattanam. There is a marina and a beach while Beypore port is one of the oldest ports in Kerala, which historically traded with the Middle East. Beypore is noted for building wooden ships, known as dhows or urus in the Malayalam language. These ships were usually bought by Arab merchants for trading and fishing but are now used as tourist ships. According to Captain Iwata, founder member of the Association of Sumerian ships in Japan, Sumerian ships might have been built in Beypore. There is evidence to prove that Beypore had direct trade links with Mesopotamia and was a prominent link on the maritime silk route.
