Python Iguana Turtle at Prakruti Bhavans Nature Festival
The Prakruti Bhavans Nature Festival was held on 18 to 20 January 2019 at the Bhavans College in Andheri.
Prakruti Bhavans Nature Festival is also the official partner of United Nations Decade on Biodiversity.
Bhavans Nature Adventure Centre rescues wild birds and animals.
They also provide medical treatment, food and shelter to the injured birds and animals.
Bhavan's Nature Adventure Centre also adopts many reptiles and birds abandoned by their owners.
The purpose of prakruti bhavans nature festival is to bring people closer to the nature.
There were 300 species of vanaspati, medicinal plants, creepers, grasses and orchids.
It is a centre of attraction to around 65 species of wild birds.
There are more than 75 species of butterfly attracted towards flowers and plants at the place.
Albino burmese python and Ivory burmese python were displayed at the prakruti bhavans nature festival.
We also get to know some basic information regarding the exotic python.
Iguana were also displayed at the festival. These were the green iguana among the many iguana species in the world.
Red Ear Slider Turtle and Alligator Snapper Turtle were also displayed and we get to know some quality information about turtle from the reptile incharge.
Most of the turtle were abandoned by their owners due to unawareness regarding turtle keeping.
After the red ear slider turtle, we also get to see the albino turtle.
Cat fish, kissing gourami fish, giant gourami fish, and tetra fish were displayed in fish pond and aquarium fish tanks.
Egyptian lizard, hedgehog, duck, peacock, emu bird were also displayed at the prakruti bhavans nature festival.
Cat fish are also known as freshwater fish but popularly referred as pond fish.

Koel 1
A female koel was brought to Bhavans Nature Adventure Centre. It arrived as a juvenile. It grew up being fed by volunteers under the supervision of Animal Section In-Charge. It often dined with us during our lunch break. It was almost like a family member. Even after being released, for many months it came to the Centre everyday, demanding food. It learnt to eat the wild berries, which were already part of its diet durinng our care. Now, it has settled well in the wild. Bonding with Birds, Caring for animals, is one interesting activity which occupies volunteers.

Under the Guidance of Mr. Nigam Pandya and Himanshu Prem, many Nature Conservation activities have begun in BNAC. As part of the rescue work we keep receiving a variety of living beings, including Terrapins. An ideal enclosure was created for them offering conducive environment to proliferate. As a result of these favourable conditions, one more successful story got added to the work of BNAC.

The show is inspired from the famous humorous column 'Duniya Ne Undha Chasma' written by the eminent Gujarati writer Mr. Tarak Mehta. This story evolves around happenings in Gokuldham Co-operative Society and covers topical issues which are socially relevant.The show predominantly - Promoolves around 'Jethalaal' (Dilip Joshi) who is an uneducated Gujarati businessman. Your 'Taarak Mehta' (Sailesh Lodha), is his neighbor. 'Jethalaal' finds a friend and philosopher in 'Taarak Mehta' and often goes to him for advice whenever he is in trouble. Jethalaal's family includes his simpleton wife 'Daya Ben' (Disha Wakani) and a mischievous son 'Tapu' (Bhavya Gandhi). Tapu is a menace and a constant source of trouble to all the members of Gokuldham. They have often warned 'Jethalaal' to reform 'Tapu' or else be prepared to leave the premises. Lost hopes of being heard by his son pushes Jethalaal' to call his father 'Champaklal' (Amit Bhatt) from the village. This was his great idea of leashing some control over the mischievous Tapu. The opposite happens and the grandfather joins hands with the grandson to make life a roller coaster troublesome ride for Jethalaal.

Here are the various dogs participated at the INKC dog festival and dog show at Prakruti Bhavans Nature Festival.
We got to watch various dog breed at the dog show held in andheri.
We interacted with some of the dog breed owners who had participated in the dog show.
The dogs owners were glad to share some basic information related to their dogs.
There were different breed dogs at the prakruti bhavans nature festival and dog festival dog show.
As popularly known by security dogs and guard dogs, dogs like rottweiler, doberman, himalayan shepherd, german shepherd, tibetan mastiff participated in the dogs show.
Home dogs like labrador, beagle, siberian husky, irish setter were also present.
Once known as the nanny dogs like the american bully were also present.
Toy dogs like chihuahua, beagle, shih tzu, pug also actively participated in the dog show.
Giant dogs like bullmastiff, tibetan mastiff, st bernard were also present at the dogs show.

Story of Releasing Chota Ninja 1
BNAC - Chota Ninja was bought by a family to our Centre on 4th August when he was baby. Once he got healthy enough to get into nature and defend himself from predators, he was released. He was released, after careful fostering, on 10th September.
