Berlin Bierbike 2010
The highlight of my stag trip to Berlin. A tour through the city centre streets on a mobile bar. It takes quite a bit of errort to pedal the thing, so thankfully an endless supply of fresh beer is at hand!

Berlin (/bərˈlɪn/, German: [bɛɐ̯ˈliːn] ( listen)) is the capital of Germany and one of the 16 states of Germany. With a population of 3.5 million people,[4] it is the second most populous city proper and the seventh most populous urban area in the European Union.[5] Located in northeastern Germany on the banks of Rivers Spree and Havel, it is the centre of the Berlin-Brandenburg Metropolitan Region, which has about six million residents from over 180 nations.[6][7][8][9] Due to its location in the European Plain, Berlin is influenced by a temperate seasonal climate. Around one-third of the city's area is composed of forests, parks, gardens, rivers and lakes.[10]
First documented in the 13th century and situated at the crossing of two important historic trade routes,[11] Berlin became the capital of the Margraviate of Brandenburg (1417–1701), the Kingdom of Prussia (1701–1918), the German Empire (1871–1918), the Weimar Republic (1919–1933) and the Third Reich (1933–1945).[12] Berlin in the 1920s was the third largest municipality in the world.[13] After World War II, the city was divided; East Berlin became the capital of East Germany while West Berlin became a de facto West German exclave, surrounded by the Berlin Wall (1961–1989) and East Germany territory.[14] Following German reunification in 1990, Berlin was once again designated as the capital of united Germany.
Berlin is a world city of culture, politics, media and science.[15][16][17][18] Its economy is based on high-tech firms and the service sector, encompassing a diverse range of creative industries, research facilities, media corporations and convention venues.[19][20] Berlin serves as a continental hub for air and rail traffic and has a highly complex public transportation network. The metropolis is a popular tourist destination.[21] Significant industries also include IT, pharmaceuticals, biomedical engineering, clean tech, biotechnology, construction and electronics.
Modern Berlin is home to world renowned universities, orchestras, museums, entertainment venues and is host to many sporting events.[22] Its urban setting has made it a sought-after location for international film productions.[23] The city is well known for its festivals, diverse architecture, nightlife, contemporary arts and a high quality of living.[24] Over the last decade Berlin has seen the emergence of a cosmopolitan entrepreneurial scene.[25]
Beercycle (Beer bike in Berlin)
Something you can now find in over 30 cities in Germany: the beer bike. These bikes can alternatively be booked with alcohol free beer or even sodas and you also get a driver with the bike who is of course not allowed to drink any kind of alcohol.
You can find their website here: (sorry, German only)
P.S. sorry for the non-descriptive thumbnail for this video, but I made and uploaded several versions of this video and not once was I offered a thumbnail with the beer bike in it.

SOT. Sven, Beer seller (in German): I think today business won't be very good, because it is raining heavily. But today is the semi-final and I think it is going to turn into a small Woodstock today. I think this time people will have a lot of fun in the rain. They know it's raining and will have fun [despite the rain] and fingers crossed my business will still be going well today.

Heavy downpours also meant a downturn for business near Berlin's World Cup Fan Mile just a few hours before the screening of the World Cup semi-final between Brazil and Germany, Tuesday.
Beer stalls and tents remained eerily vacant, as many tried to avoid getting caught in the heavy rain. However a few die-hard fans braved the weather in ponchos, or with little clothing, and refused to let the weather ruin their fun. Sellers also remained optimistic, with one saying he believed the event will just turn into a small Woodstock and football supporters will have fun regardless of the weather.
