Bieszczady National Park.avi
Bieszczady National Park was established on August 4th, 1973 and covers an area of nearly 30.000 ha. It is the largest mountain and third largest national park in Poland. Wonderful mountain vistas, vast beech woodland and high probability of meeting wild animals -- these are the main features of Bieszczady National Park - the area fondly known as the 'Polish Wild East'. It is worth to remark that the plant cover and the fauna have been created in result of spontaneous secondary, regenerative succession, which has lasted here since the end of World War II. That ecological phenomena doesn't occur so long and at so large scale in other mountainous areas of Central Europe.

Path through the peat bog in Poland Bieszczady National Park
„Litmirz” Nature Reserve - bog nature reserve with a total area of 13 ha, located near the Litmirz stream, where it meets the river San, in the former village of Tarnawa Wyżna. The raised bog is protected, along with richness of plants and spruce-beech forest, where the phenomena of vegetative reproduction of the spruce occurs. Great landscapes and wilderness replacing the depopulated villages after the World War II dominate in this area.

Film wykonany za pomocą wideopułapek w obszarze specjalnej ochrony siedlisk Natura 2000 Beskid Żywiecki. Tego lato jedna z tutejszych wilczych grup rodzinnych doczekała się czterech szczeniąt. Projekt monitoringu wilka na pograniczu polsko-czesko-słowackim prowadzony jest przez Stowarzyszenie dla Natury Wilk we współpracy z czeskim stowarzyszeniem Hnuti Duha przy finansowym wsparciu Fundacji EuroNatur oraz Wolves and Humans Fundation. Zakup wideopułapek został sfinansowany przez American School of Warsaw.

The Carpathians are also one of the last European refuges of the wild cat, and a nesting site of the golden eagle. It is also the only mountain range in Europe with a free ranging population of European bison, of which population numbers are estimated to be about 160 in the Bieszczady Mountains in Poland and about 220 in the Ukrainian Carpathians.

Trasa rowerowa w Bieszczadach z miejscowości Zatwarnica do osady Krywe. W zamiarach miałem przekroczenie przez bród rzekę San, jednak ze względu na spory stan wody plan nie powiódł się.
Opublikowałem całość przebytej trasy, umieściłem również opisy mijanych miejsc (kluczowych) - przydatne dla osób, które również mają zamiar przejechać tą trasą rowerową, a nie wiedzą czego można się spodziewać.

Wolves Bieszczady Park Narodowy Poland 16 & 17/04/2015
These wolves were seen during a short visit in April to the Biesczcady NP in Poland. On the 16th & 17th we saw at least 2 wolves from the EB5 hide, a fantastic experience for the whole family. An even bigger surprise was on the 17th were we saw a pack of 9 animals crossing the street in broad daylight. What a fantastic animal!

Film ten został nagrany 6 grudnia 2013 w Bieszczadach za pomocą kamer noktowizyjnych. Pokazuje on jak niedźwiedzie, lis i wilk jedzą upolowanego przez watahę jelenia. Kamery zostaly zainstalowane juz po odkryciu padliny.
This film was recorded on December 6, 2013 in the Bieszczady Mountains using night vision cameras. It shows a group of bears, a fox and a wolf eating a deer hunted previously by a group of wolves. The cameras were installed after discovering the deer's body in order to see what will happen next....

Western Bieszczady - Landscape Parks.avi
Cisniansko-Wetlinski Landscape Park is the largest protected territory of the East Carpathians Biosphere Reserve with a total area of more than 500 sq km. Wysoki Dział ridge is 25 km long and 10 km wide. On the top of Lopiennik summit there is a table as a memory of poet's Wincent Poll ascent in 1833. A massive landslide which occurred in 1907 created Duszatyńskie Lakes. In 1957 Zwiezlo nature reserve was established in order to protect this attraction as well as nearby primeval beech-fir forest. Another nature reserve called Sine Wiry protects the canyon of Wetlina river. San Valley Landscape Park with its 360 sq km covers the river system of the San from its source forming PL -- UA border to the Solina Lake. The park is mostly known for its interesting landscape and rich nature -- a range of mountain biotopes, and an astonishing richness of species -- about 130 bird species are under protection. Moreover it is the best habitat for the observation of rare wild animals, like the wolf and the wisent. Nadsanskyi Regional Landscape Park -- stretching along the San River on the Ukrainian state border with Poland, is accessible only with a permit, due to its proximity of the EU external border.

Szczególnie lubią jabłka, śliwki, nie gardzą także owocami bzu i dzikiej róży. Wszystko po to żeby przed zimowym snem nabrać masy. Ucztujące niedźwiadki nagrały fotopułapki - czyli specjalne kamery leśników.

There are 23 national parks in Poland. These were formerly run by the Polish Board of National Parks , but in 2004 responsibility for them was transferred to the Ministry of the Environment. Most national parks are divided into strictly and partially protected zones. Additionally, they are usually surrounded by a protective buffer zone called otulina.
In Poland, as amended by the Nature Conservation Act 2004 covers an area of outstanding value for the environmental, scientific, social, cultural and educational, with an area of not less than 1000 ha , which is the protection of the whole nature and qualities of landscape . The national park created to preserve biodiversity, resources, objects and elements of inanimate nature and landscape values, restoring proper state of natural resources and components and reconstruct distorted nature habitats, plants , habitats of animals and habitats of fungi.
The area of national parks is divided into different areas using separate methods of conservation. There are strict protection zone, active and landscape.
In areas bordering the park designated as buffer zone of the national park. The buffer zone can be formed protective zone of game animals and are non-inclusion of hunting . National parks is available to visit, but tourism can be here only in designated areas, trails, roads, paths.
National Parks are funded from the central budget . Are managed by the directors, as an advisory body to the Council of the park. The April 30, 2004 parks were supervised by the National Board of National Parks . From 1 May 2004, the duties were taken over by the Ministry of the Environment - Department of Forestry, Nature Conservation and Landscape since January 19, 2007 Independent Department for Natura 2000 areas and National Parks. After the establishment of GDOŚ and RDOŚ October 15, 2008, the task under the supervision of the Minister of the Environment of the National Parks Conservation Department completed the Ministry of Environment.
The Polish national parks are carried out numerous research programs. Parks play an important role in education, ecological society. The national parks you can visit, and tourism, and they provide a well-developed infrastructure of tourism. Many of them have specially prepared trails and centers of educational and natural history museums.

Park narodowy – jedna z form ochrony przyrody w Polsce. Zgodnie z ustawą o ochronie przyrody z 2004 r. obejmuje obszar wyróżniający się szczególnymi wartościami przyrodniczymi, naukowymi, społecznymi, kulturowymi i edukacyjnymi, o powierzchni nie mniejszej niż 1000 ha, na którym ochronie podlega cała przyroda oraz walory krajobrazowe. Park narodowy tworzy się w celu zachowania różnorodności biologicznej, zasobów, tworów i składników przyrody nieożywionej i walorów krajobrazowych, przywrócenia właściwego stanu zasobów i składników przyrody oraz odtworzenia zniekształconych siedlisk przyrodniczych, siedlisk roślin, siedlisk zwierząt lub siedlisk grzybów.
Zasoby przyrodnicze parków narodowych zalicza się do strategicznych zasobów naturalnych Polski zgodnie z ustawą z dnia 6 lipca 2001 r. o zachowaniu narodowego charakteru strategicznych zasobów naturalnych kraju.
