For over a century, Bali has fascinated the Western imagination. The island embodies the very essence of the exotic and mysterious East. Steep hillsides of tropical green reveal terraced rice paddies while plantations of coffee, banana, cacao and fragrant spices line the roads. Monkeys haunt the grounds of a sacred temple in a forest, while traditional villages produce intricately stylized batik, superb jewelry and beautiful paintings. And Balinese dance, with its angular movements and rhythms, remains somehow stirring and shocking. Bali may be accessible, but it remains forever exotic.
Tour from the ship. Description:
Feel the artistic pulse of Bali with this five-hour guided excursion that takes you on an arts and crafts adventure through Denpasar and its surroundings villages. There will be a moderate amount of walking so be sure to wear comfortable shoes.
After boarding your motorcoach, you'll head southwest along the coast. Looking out toward the sparkling waters of the Badung Straight, you'll see the small island of Nusa Penida, home to a bird sanctuary for endangered Balinese and Indonesian bird species, including the critically endangered Bali starling.
After arriving in Denpasar you may be surprised at the hustle and bustle; it is, after all, Bali's capital city with a population of over 500,000 and a thriving economy. Denpasar, which means next to the market, is aptly named.
Being the center of city in the Island there is one of Center Temple name Jagatnatha Temple Dedicated for main God by Hindu in Denpasar . Although it may look like it's been sitting there for centuries it was actually built in the mid-20th century but its symbolism and holiness is just as sacred as those you'll find throughout the country. Across from the temple you can see Puputan Square, which commemorates the suicidal battle of the Badung rajahs against the Dutch militia in 1906.
Next, you'll tour the Museum Negeri Propinsi Bali, more commonly known as the Bali Museum. Inside this stunning example of Balinese architecture you'll find five pavilions filled with over 10,500 exhibits spread out over 28,000 square feet.
Move further from Denpasar to the east there is Art and Traditional Market of Sukawati , the largest Art Market in Bali . Here, you'll find stalls filled with produce of carving, painting, clothing, costumes, household items, and gold and silver jewelry. Haggling and bartering is expected so feel free to join in.
Now, it's on to more shopping in the village of Celuk, known as the gold and silversmith capital of Bali. During your visit you can shop for jewelry in one of the many markets that line the village before we continue our trip to Kemenuh the near by Village.
In the Village. After a warm welcome, you'll be treated to a cup of coffee accompanied with a slice of kue. Sometimes sweet and sometimes savory, this cake is made with 20 thin layers of different flavors and stacked on top of each other and steamed or fried.
Your final stop is the village of Tohpati, considered the center of Balinese hand weaving and handmade batik prints. The roots of batik date back 2,000 years but it was the Balinese who turned it into an art form. After you disembark, you'll tour a local batik factory and watch the entire process ? from stamping the fabric with wax, to dyeing and finally, the finished product.
At the conclusion of your tour, you'll reboard your coach and travel back to your waiting ship.

PASAR BADUNG DENPASAR - Pasar di Bali Yang Bersih dan Serba Lengkap
Badung Market, is the largest traditional market in Bali, located in the center of Denpasar, on Jalan Gajah Mada. this place is fairly complete selling various means of daily necessities and various other clothing materials.
Here there is a river called the river / tukad badung, the flow is like dividing or dividing the Badung market and the Kumbasari art market, although it is only a market, but this area is quite interesting to visit, especially shopping tourism hobbyists.
One Earth's greetings from me

------------------------------------------

Places to visit in Bali and best time to visit Bali to enjoy Bali tours
Places to visit in Bali and best time to visit Bali to enjoy Bali tours
Bali, the famed Island of the Gods, with its varied landscape of hills and mountains, rugged coastlines and sandy beaches, lush rice terraces and barren volcanic hillsides all providing a picturesque backdrop to its colourful, deeply spiritual and unique culture, stakes a serious claim to be paradise on earth. With world-class surfing and diving, a large number of cultural, historical and archaeological attractions, and an enormous range of accommodations, this is one of the world's most popular island destinations and one which consistently wins travel awards. Bali has something to offer a very broad market of visitors from young back-packers right through to the super-rich.
Bali is one of more than 17,000 islands in the Indonesian archipelago and is located just over 2 kilometres (almost 1.5 miles) from the eastern tip of the island of Java and west of the island of Lombok. The island, home to about 4 million people, is approximately 144 kilometres (90 mi.) from east to west and 80 kilometres (50 mi.) north to south.
The word paradise is used a lot in Bali and not without reason. The combination of friendly, hospitable people, a magnificently visual culture infused with spirituality and (not least) spectacular beaches with great surfing and diving have made Bali Indonesia's unrivaled number one tourist attraction. Eighty percent of international visitors to Indonesia visit Bali and Bali alone.
Regions of Bali :
South Bali (Kuta, Bukit Peninsula, Canggu, Denpasar, Jimbaran, Legian, Nusa Dua, Sanur, Seminyak, Tanah Lot) The most visited part of the island by far, with Kuta Beach and chic Seminyak.
Central Bali (Ubud, Bedugul, Tabanan) The cultural heart of Bali and the central mountain range.
West Bali (Negara, Gilimanuk, Medewi Beach, Pemuteran, West Bali National Park) Ferries to Java and the West Bali National Park.
North Bali (Lovina, Singaraja)Quiet black sand beaches and the old capital city.
East Bali (Amed, Besakih, Candidasa, Kintamani, Klungkung, Mount Agung, Padang Bai, Tirta Gangga) Laid back coastal villages, an active volcano and the mighty Mount Agung.
Southeastern Islands (Nusa Lembongan, Nusa Penida, Nusa Ceningan) Quiet offshore islands in the southeast, popular for diving activities.
Daytime temperatures are pleasant, varying between 20-33⁰ C (68-93⁰ F) year-round. From December to March, the west monsoon can bring heavy showers and high humidity, but days are still often sunny with the rains starting in the late afternoon or evening and passing quickly. From June to September, the humidity is low and it can be quite cool in the evenings. At this time of the year there is hardly any rain in the lowland coastal areas.

Bali is an island and province of Indonesia. The province includes the island of Bali and a few smaller neighbouring islands, notably Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan, and Nusa Ceningan. It is located at the westernmost end of the Lesser Sunda Islands, between Java to the west and Lombok to the east. Its capital of Denpasar is located at the southern part of the island.
With a population of 3,890,757 in the 2010 census,[4] and 4,225,000 as of January 2014,[5] the island is home to most of Indonesia's Hindu minority. According to the 2010 Census, 83.5% of Bali's population adhered to Balinese Hinduism,[3] followed by 13.4% Muslim, Christianity at 2.5%, and Buddhism 0.5%.[6]
Bali is a popular tourist destination, which has seen a significant rise in tourists since the 1980s. It is renowned for its highly developed arts, including traditional and modern dance, sculpture, painting, leather, metalworking, and music. The Indonesian International Film Festival is held every year in Bali.
Bali is part of the Coral Triangle, the area with the highest biodiversity of marine species. In this area alone over 500 reef building coral species can be found. For comparison, this is about 7 times as many as in the entire Caribbean.[7] Most recently, Bali was the host of the 2011 ASEAN Summit, 2013 APEC and Miss World 2013
Ancient[edit]
Bali was inhabited around 2000 BC by Austronesian people who migrated originally from Southeast Asia and Oceania through Maritime Southeast Asia.[8][9] Culturally and linguistically, the Balinese are closely related to the people of the Indonesian archipelago, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Oceania.[9] Stone tools dating from this time have been found near the village of Cekik in the island's west.[10][11]
In ancient Bali, nine Hindu sects existed, namely Pasupata, Bhairawa, Siwa Shidanta, Waisnawa, Bodha, Brahma, Resi, Sora and Ganapatya. Each sect revered a specific deity as its personal Godhead.[12]
Inscriptions from 896 and 911 don't mention a king, until 914, when Sri Kesarivarma is mentioned. They also reveal an independent Bali, with a distinct dialect, where Buddhism and Sivaism were practiced simultaneously. Mpu Sindok's great granddaughter, Mahendradatta (Gunapriyadharmapatni), married the Bali king Udayana Warmadewa (Dharmodayanavarmadeva) around 989, giving birth to Airlangga around 1001. This marriage also brought more Hinduism and Javanese culture to Bali. Princess Sakalendukirana appeared in 1098. Suradhipa reigned from 1115 to 1119, and Jayasakti from 1146 until 1150. Jayapangus appears on inscriptions between 1178 and 1181, while Adikuntiketana and his son Paramesvara in 1204
