Windsurfing Big Blue Surf Center Kos 2009
In 2009 I went for a vacation to the Greek island of Kos from august 20 till September 1. I went out windsurfing three times. This footage shows me duck jibing, chop hopping and passing a sail yacht. It also shows some pictures of the location where I surfed: The Big Blue Surf Center on the East coast of Kos. Located on the so called Psalidi beach in front of the hotel Oceanis Beach Resort. It offers a pretty decent windsurf accommodation for novice and more experienced windsurfers. In the summer time the wind usually blows from a Northwest direction. On this spot that means side shore conditions, no shore break and a little bumpy swell. During my vacation there were like 6 days with 20 knots of wind or more. Kos is certainly not as windy as Karpathos or even Rhodos. But it will do as long as the sole purpose of your vacation is not windsurfing. Anyhow, the Big Blue Surf Center was my preferred windsurf spot on Kos. The three times I surfed there I had a great time with fine Fanatic and North 2009 material. I used an Eagle 100l, a Duke 5.4 or 5.9 and a Natural 6.2.
