Colorado Experience: Hotel de Paris
Amid Colorado’s booming Silver Rush, Louis Depuy, a seminary dropout and army deserter utilized his knowledge from years as a Paris restaurant apprentice to create a first-class French restaurant and hotel in the mining town of Georgetown. Marvel at the Hotel’s elegant quarters, whet your palette with the elaborate menu (oysters included, and not of the Rocky Mountain variety!) and meet the wealthy businessmen, railroad tycoons and adventure-seekers who found themselves in the Wild West’s lap of luxury.

Longmont, Colorado Flooding, 9/13/2013
Video taken from 1st and Grant, looking South toward Left Hand Brewing. I point at the brewery in the video. Fox 31 had just finished up doing a live report. How much water is there usually? The brewery JOKINGLY calls it The Mighty Saint Vrain. It's mostly a stream. Little tiny thing, and it's on THE OTHER SIDE of the brewery.

SUMMARY
=======
Colorado ( (listen), other variants) is a state of the Western United States encompassing most of the southern Rocky Mountains as well as the northeastern portion of the Colorado Plateau and the western edge of the Great Plains. It is the 8th largest geographically and 21st most populous U.S. state. The estimated population of Colorado was 5,607,154 on July 1, 2017, an increase of 11.49% since the 2010 United States Census. The state was named for the Colorado River, which early Spanish explorers named the Río Colorado for the ruddy silt the river carried from the mountains. The Territory of Colorado was organized on February 28, 1861, and on August 1, 1876, U.S. President Ulysses S. Grant signed Proclamation 230 admitting Colorado to the Union as the 38th state. Colorado is nicknamed the Centennial State because it became a state one century after the signing of the United States Declaration of Independence.
Colorado is bordered by Wyoming to the north, Nebraska to the northeast, Kansas to the east, Oklahoma to the southeast, New Mexico to the south, Utah to the west, and touches Arizona to the southwest at the Four Corners. Colorado is noted for its vivid landscape of mountains, forests, high plains, mesas, canyons, plateaus, rivers, and desert lands. Colorado is part of the western and southwestern United States, and is one of the Mountain States.
Denver is the capital and most populous city of Colorado. Residents of the state are known as Coloradans, although the antiquated term Coloradoan is occasionally used.Unlike its neighbors to the north, west and east, Colorado has been recognized as a strongly socially liberal state. Same-sex marriage in Colorado has been legal since 2014, and it was the second state in the U.S. (after Washington) to legalize recreational cannabis. The state is known for its progressive views on abortion and assisted suicide; Coloradans rejected a 2008 referendum that would have criminalized abortion, and approved a measure in 2016 that legalized assisted suicide in the state, and remains one of six states (along with the District of Columbia) to have legalized assisted suicide. In 2018, Colorado became the first state in the United States to elect an openly gay governor, Jared Polis, in the 2018 gubernatorial election.

A Beautiful Soul An Original Witten By Mitchell Kariker
This was a song inspired by a girl who I have been noticing more lately... Its not the first song I've written, but the first song I've recorded, so if people like it, I'll put up more! :)
Lyrics:
Work's over it's a Friday night
The party hasn't started but that's alright
She'll be there lookin' pretty as ever
And everyone will be watching
She's got that long brown hair that flows just right
A devil's dance but an angels pride
She don't belong to anyone
But I'm takin' her home tonight
When she starts to dance, the music cranks up louder
The party's vibe gets a whole lot brighter
Everyone throws a cheer, raisin higher
For that girl who's stealin my heart
So let me tell you about her soul
She once was wrecked but now she's whole
A fighter and a believer, that's for sure
A girl so stunning with her eyes so green
That pretty little smile that makes me sing
I don't understand but I ain't comlainin, why she's lookin right at me
I walked up to her and I took her hand
Then we both became the party's high demand
Dancing like never before we were it
Lost in love in that moment
Soon after, I said what do you say?
She smiled and said let's just get away
I'm needin a ride home tonight Let's get on out of here
So let me tell you about her soul
She once was wrecked but now she's whole
A fighter and a believer, that's for sure
A girl so stunning with her eyes so green
That pretty little smile that makes me sing
I don't understand but I ain't comlainin, why she's comin home with me
As we laid there underneath the stars
I knew that this was where we belong
Just her and I in paradise
One kiss away from heaven
And in that moment the sky lit up
From a flying star from way above
It felt just right so I asked her to stay
While she smiled right back at me.
So let me tell you about her soul
She once was wrecked but now she's whole
A fighter and a believer, that's for sure
A girl so stunning with her eyes so green
That pretty little smile that makes me sing
Now I ain't complainin when she said yes, to when I asked her to marry me.
