Coronado Island, Best beach in USA???
Situated just across the bay from downtown San Diego, Coronado is consistently voted best beach in the U.S. by Dr. Beach. With gentle surf, sparkling wide-sand beaches, charming main street and great hotels, including the famous Hotel del Coronado, this island paradise is perfect for a family vacation or romantic getaway.
Coronado's coastline offers wide sandy beaches with sparkling sand, courtesy of the mineral Mica, that draw visitors from around the world. With its elegant gardens, old-world mansions, quaint shops, and oceanfront dining with spectacular sunset views, no wonder this charmed small town has been dubbed The Crown City, as Coronado means the crowned one in Spanish.
Spend the day relaxing on the beach or rent a bike and tour the island via Coronado's beachfront boardwalk. Take a stroll down Orange Avenue, Coronado's main artery, which is lined with shops, restaurants, galleries, theaters and the Coronado Museum of History & Art. At the other end of the island, Coronado's Ferry Landing offers a collection of more than 20 shops, art galleries and restaurants boasting stunning views of San Diego's downtown skyline. Flagship Cruises also offers low cost ferry service from the landing across the bay to Seaport Village on the edge of downtown.
Beyond the beach, Coronado features countless outdoor recreational pursuits including sailing, stand-up paddling, surfing, kayaking, and Venetian gondola cruises. There’s also top-rate golf on Coronado’s Public Golf Course, described as “a gem I consider the best value in the United States by Golf Digest writer Matt Ginella. Locals and visitors alike also love the popular Coronado Flower Show, held each spring since 1922.
And no trip to Coronado would be complete without a visit to the legendary Hotel del Coronado. Built in 1888 and designated a National Historic Landmark, the hotel has a fascinating and colorful past, which includes presidents and princes, socialites and scandals, ghosts and glamorous celebrities. It's also widely believed to have been the inspiration for the Emerald City in L. Frank Baum's “Wizard of Oz” as the author spent many winters at the oceanfront hotel.
SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA [10] - THE SOUTHERN ENDEAVOR | SOUTHERN TIER BICYCLE ROUTE
And as soon as we began our tour in St. Augustine, Fl., we found ourselves completing the final stretch of the Adventure Cycling, Southern Tier Bicycle Route in San Diego. A big shout-out to our friends Brooklyn and Sharon for introducing us to the beauty behind San Diego and the Pacific Ocean, from visiting Coronado Island to touring the Ballast Point brewery, we thank you. Killing time before the second weekend of Coachella, Will and I biked out to Joshua Tree to meet the Spicy Pie crew ... in hopes for a ride back into town. As promised, Coachella upheld expectations, while working over 40 hours within the three day weekend. After hitching a ride to L.A., we finally had the downtime we needed before flying back home to Philadelphia, P.A.
We couldn't be more thankful to all who contributed to our journey.

Driving across the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco
The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge spanning the Golden Gate, the one-mile-wide (1.6 km) strait connecting San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean. The structure links the American city of San Francisco, California – the northern tip of the San Francisco Peninsula – to Marin County, carrying both U.S. Route 101 and California State Route 1 across the strait. The bridge is one of the most internationally recognized symbols of San Francisco, California, and the United States. It has been declared one of the Wonders of the Modern World by the American Society of Civil Engineers.

Tourists riding a different bike they gave me a welcomed greeting to shoot. This place has it's famous Gaslamp District. Many people'll come here. Famous art galleries and also because a restaurant. There's also petko beyond the ballpark (Petco Park). It's all so a lot more people.

The typical human body contains roughly 0.1 μCi (14 mg) of naturally occurring potassium-40. A human body containing 16 kg of carbon (see Composition of the human body) would also have about 24 nanograms or 0.1 μCi of carbon-14. Together, these would have an activity of approximately 2×0.1 μCi or 7400 decays (mostly from beta decay and rarely from gamma decay) per second inside the person's body.

2010-05-11 9:25am N/B I-15 bike path at Scripps Poway Pkwy
This took place at the intersection of the I-15 bike path (and northbound I-15 offramp) at Scripps Poway Parkway in San Diego, CA this morning at 9:25am.
To my left is the offramp. There are two right turn lanes from the offramp onto Scripps Poway Parkway. When I pushed the crosswalk button, the walk signal soon appeared, but the offramp traffic had a red light. (Right on red is permitted at this intersection.) As I rode into the crosswalk, a car drove from the leftmost right turn lane onto Scripps Poway Parkway, crossing my path. I saw it coming, so I slowed down to avoid a collision. The motorist was looking for traffic coming from his left, not for pedestrians on the right.

Performed at Pacific Coast Skydive in Otay Mesa (San Diego, CA USA) on Dec 31, 2015
The plane took off from Otay mesa and flew over San Diego. The flight offered fantastic views of San Diego downtown, silver strand beach, coronado island, coronado bridge, USA-Mexico international border, Tijuana, and distant view of costal city of Rosarito in Mexico.
After approximately 15 minute of flight, took a tendam dive from 10,000 feet altitude. Then there was free fall for about 45 seconds at 120 MPH (192 kmph) , after which parachute opened at 5,000 feet. The parachute ride was about 6 minutes. Then we safely landed on the ground. It was indeed a mind blowing experience.
