The Bishops Garden Norwich Cathedral.
Hidden behind the Norman Norwich Catherdral is the Bishops residence. It did look as though it was not occupied, but today the gardens were open for a charity fund raiser for Save the Children.
Consisting of formal and informal gardens, including a little woodland walk the Bishops garden is very tranquil considering it is located not far from the busy Norwich city centre.
The house is quite a modern house built in 1959. It does look a little architecturally odd with the back drop of more ancient buildings.
The gardens are only open half a dozen times a year and are well worth a look. I intend to return later in the summer for the roses which will be in bloom. See below for opening times.

Loddon Park residents 'deeply disappointed'
A group of residents living in the Loddon Park housing development in Woodley say they are 'deeply disappointed’. The homes, built by developers Taylor Wimpey, have a catalogue of problems including no insulation, mould and wrongly fitted toilets. One resident, Luke Mahon, who moved into his home last September, has set up a Twitter account called '@MyHouseSucks' to highlight the problems.

Visited the wonderful Herb Garden in The Close at Norwich Cathedral today - there was a white climbing rose that was covered in bees and insects of all sorts going crazy over the pollen and nectar - saw this wonderful jewel-green insect
